Life got boring for Zander. It was the same routine day in and day out. Get a call, transport their a$s to the ER, and then go home and play RPGs. No wife, no life. That was, until one fateful call. 

The call wasn’t so normal after all. It had all the appearances of a normal call. “Medic 13, it’s your regular. Sarah Mantis, age 55. She’s complaining of heart palpitations with shortness of breath. The address is 2334 SW Glendale CT.” 

“This is Medic 13, we copy. Put us in route please”.

What he found would change his life forever.

My Medical System

At the front door he looks under the door for feet and sees nothing as it's sealed tight. His danger sense goes off. He grabs out his laser pistol and holds it pointed up and at the ready. He opens the door from the side with his back to the wall and looks out as it swings open. 


The lady standing in front of the door is shocked and drops to her knees as a laser round passes through the air where his head should've been. A man SCREAMING curses fires off two more rounds while running towards the open door. 


Before the lady can get back up, Zander pulls her in front of him as a shield. With her back towards him and away from the door he SMACKS her in the back of the head, knocking her out cold. He then dive and rolls to the other side of the door shutting it.
