Returning to Tesha

~~~(POV: Lyatt Scott)~~~
~~~(Location: Loading In, Easternmost city in the Termal Empire Kedwein)~~~

~~~(Date: February 15th, 2297)~~~
~~~(Time: 8:03 AM)~~~

The particle effect of loading in disappears, and I'm right where I logged off. Kedwein has been a hub of my personal activities, and I look forward to adventuring beyond Kedwein in a permanent manner. "Don't celebrate too early, Lyatt... You still have to help Tesha with what she needs and clear a Raid and a Dungeon..." Thinking about it now, there is still plenty of work for me to do.

Players are already bouncing between shops as I walk down the streets. Many of the Players are getting supplies and upgrades to their armor and weapons to continue progressing. My eyes scan the people traveling in groups, and as I look at their armor, it's got guild emblems on them. Guilds are progressing at a rapid rate, and Solo Players will become rarer over time.

My attention turns to the store where my teacher for alchemy operates. There are Players exiting and entering the stores, and it's only been open for a few minutes. People have realized how good Tesha Lacroix's potions are. While many will seek to become her apprentice, they'll have to be satisfied with purchasing what they need.

I enter the store myself, and I instantly get looks, and that's from my armor. It's a pretty gnarly-looking set... Powerful too... My helmet is hidden, so I can't be hindered by the encumbrance. People didn't notice me on the street cause there were plenty of other distractions out there. "Well, looks like someone found some decent loot." My teacher's voice reaches me.

Players make a path as I make my way to the front desk, and she places her tobacco pipe down. Leaning on the table and resting her head in her hands. "I got a letter from a mutual friend. He just wants to express how grateful he is for your help and will do whatever you need of him to repay the debt." My suspicions that Duke Renold would contact her were correct.

I appreciate her keeping our talk as discreet as possible with so many people in her store. Most are shopping, but the few that are here at the front desk are listening. "I've returned to help you with what you needed. Time that I repay how you helped me." She smiles the same way a model would, and her attempts to get any reaction from me fail.

I find it strange that she repeatedly attempts to get me interested in her. Where she finds further interest and determination in my lack thereof is weird to me. "Ah, then we must speak privately. Follow me." She leaves the front counter and heads towards the back. I follow suit, and I'm surprised no one used Scan on me. Lost opportunity for them, I suppose. They would've learned my name.

We head deeper into her store and make it to her lab, and I see various ingredients that are high in grade and low. Even my White Tears Flower is in a spot that has other important ingredients. "My task for you is one that I didn't think you'd be ready for, but given how you handled the Duke's situation, this might be easy for you." Hmm... A Dungeon? Maybe...

I don't mind taking on another Dungeon, more EXP, and more loot in the end. "There is a Restricted Zone 25 miles North of here." A Restricted Zone, huh... Interesting... "While I'm not concerned about you fighting anything, it's what this Restricted Zone has grown in it." That's obvious enough. She's a very powerful and high-level Alchemist.

She pulls out an old dusty Scroll from a bookshelf and rolls it across the table. A painting of a flower fills my eyes. It's full of vibrant colors and quite large. "Don't be fooled by its beauty. If you get close enough, you could end up poisoned." Despite all that I know, there are things that I don't know. This flower falls into that category.

Like most things in the wild, the more beauty and variety it has in physical appearance, the more poisonous it is. "I take it you want me to head to the Restricted Zone, find the flower, and bring it back." She rolls her eyes at the straightforward approach that I've taken. She walks back over to the shelf and takes a small bottle off it, and I already know this will be interesting.
