Blood Shadow Elite Group

After Ki's order the group of masked people activated their mystical arts, the enemy somewhat had an advantage but as soon as their blood drained from their wounds they became desperate and reckless.

Some tried to bring down the masked people along with them but did not have the overall strength to do so, the masked people blocked their attacks and took advantage of their openings.

All the people within the bandit group died drained of their blood or from fatal wounds.

One of the weaker bandits died first during the ambush then began a one on one fight between each of the groups, some of the masked people held the advantage over the remaining weak villagers and killed them within a short period of time.

The others struggled to deal with the more experienced bandits, they suffered a couple of minor wounds but soon were assisted by those who had defeated the villagers.

The advantage still remained with the bandits who had more experience fighting and were using to using dirty tactics like throwing dirt in the enemies eyes.

One of the masked people suffered a minor wound that was enough to stop them from fighting after being saved by an ally.

As the order came they activated their mystic blood ability, the blood mists formed from the enemies bodies began to merge with their tattoo markings before the markings disappeared into their bodies.

Some time passed after the battle and Ki had began to apply bandages and medicine to their wounds.

Ki stood beside a one handed man who was restrained with a small acupuncture needle in the side of his neck and his mouth gagged. "I see that you are done. First you must burn or bury the corpses and get rid of our traces here. The best option would be to bury them so the smoke does not alert anyone, next we need to gather more information so someone needs to pry open his mouth and gather every bit of information we can get about our enemy."

Ki thought for a moment before talking again. "Who was it that killed the most in the fight?"

A masked woman removed her mask revealing a thin scar from her forehead going past her left eyebrow and then it continued under her left eye travelling down past her her cheek bone, luckily her eye remained unharmed when she received the wound in the past.

She looked to be around 19 years old, had a thin and curvaceous body and a pretty and enticing face but her overall charm had been ruined by the scars inflicted on her body making her give off the appearance of a fierce and rebellious beauty coupled with the bloody scimitar hanging at her waist.

The woman had long braided dark black hair, black eyes and darker or tanned skin which showed she was from the western lands.

Ki instantly recognised her, she was the main person who voiced their opinion during the first batch of slaves and did not trust Ki but as time her desire for strength and her lack of talent led her to join the dark elite group Ki wished to raise. "As slaves you lost your past and within this group you do not exist but since you are now a team and a family to each other now I must name a leader and give you a family name. Your family will be named Umbra which means shadow or dark, as for the leader you will be appointed and be named Rashida meaning righteous. As a righteous shadow I hope you can strike your blade towards the evil that is pointed towards our allies without mercy. Maybe one day I will give you the opportunity to point your blades towards those who wronged you if you prove yourselves worthy. The group you lead will be called the Blood Shadow group and will be limited to 50 people under you. Those of you will be named by your ranking within the group. For example Umbra one etc…"

One of the main reasons why she appointed Rashida as the head of the elite shadow group was because she still had a certain stubbornness about her even after being broken down by her captors both mentally and physically.

Although she had a stubborn personality she still listened to Ki because she had not mistreated them so Rashida had started to follow Ki's orders now without question.

One of the main things that made Rashida follow without question was Ki's bravery to go into battle alone and create an opening for them to strike, no other masters would ever do such a thing.

Most people in power would stand behind their crowd of guards and watch from afar as they sacrifice their lives for them without a shred of sympathy or gratitude.

In fact she was one of the first to kill one of the bandits or exiled villagers upon receiving the signal to attack without hesitation which helped to lessen the burden for the others.

Since she killed more than one person she also acquired more vitality than the rest which would help to put her ahead of them if she trained properly.

There was an extra reason why Ki chose her to lead the team, back in her past life Ki had encountered her during a noble hunting game and that person had lead many of the slaves to survive that hellish day at the expense of her life and Ki was one of those that she had saved.

Rashida was someone with enough bravery to help others in a dire situation rather than just focus on surviving herself and she was able to adapt to changes so was quick to react when things didn't go according to plan which made her suited to being a leader.

Ki barely remembered her face during the later years of her life but upon seeing the scar on her face close up her old memories were triggered since it was someone who once saved her and it was rare to encounter those from the west within the central lands as they are either travel in a group as a troupe, travelling merchants or stay within the western lands.

"Rashida your job is to supervise and lead your team to clean up and then we have to go back for the night, regroup and take a little time to learn from what we have just experienced."

After some time the bodies were buried, the campsite had been searched and the group took the enemies weapons and anything of value with them as a tribute to offer to Ki.

Ki nodded upon seeing everyone had completed their tasks. "Some of you may have been wounded so right now is the best opportunity to use the blood you collected to refine your blood Qi with your blood Qi art I taught you. Once you fully absorb the vitality from what you have gathered just now you should be able to heal your wounds at a faster rate. Use a small blade soaked in a poison with irritation symptoms and make small cuts to the prisoner, do it slowly and get information from him about his groups location, their size, their overall strength and if they are allied or working for anyone. Rashida you can wait and come with me."

The masked people went back to their homes to sat cross legged and began to use the blood sects Qi art while Rashida followed Ki into a private room.
