Entry

While the Blood Sect core disciples or elders began bloodletting the man and drinking his blood letting him die a slow death, not too far away Ki had appeared along with Rashida and the others.

They stopped the funeral horse drawn carriage nearby and hid it before following Ki slowly.

Ki looked at the surroundings and detected no signs of buildings so immediately figured out the structure of the hideout along with the location of the door. "There will be one exit so they have no way to escape, all we need to do is find the location and catch them by surprise."

Rashida asked while removing the scimitar from her back. "How will we fight them? What are the battle plans?"

Ki understood her worries as the enemies overall strength was still unknown. "We remain cautious and use the environment they are in to our advantage. It would be best to gain entry first some way and send what we have prepared to cause high damage to their overall strength but also use our blood mystic arts to the best of our abilities to cause further damage to them. We have no need to fight unless they are able to break past what we have set up."

She thought for a moment and said. "The use of large attacks is forbidden upon entry as the passage walls or roof may get in the way of your sword swings. Use this as training so that you can all adapt to different environments."

Rashida looked down at the scimitar in her hands and understood Ki's reasoning. "I got it."

The other five people nodded and helped to prepare everything as the carriage door was opened revealing a large funeral casket.

It was immediately carried out and placed on the ground carefully and then they all stepped back.

Seven differently shaped figures began to climb from the casket one at a time while making rigid movements until they all had gotten out and then moved opposite each person.

To deal with the many transcendent or unrestrained blood sect disciples or elders that could have been deployed, Ki decided that risking the lives of her own people was not something she wanted even if it meant giving up on this plan.

However.. Northern Warlord Sect had provided them with a simple answer on how to match the enemies they were about to face.

Many powerful and highly durable bodies were transformed into powerful puppets using the Brain Gu Worm along with the recipe to strengthen their bodies.

One belonged to Ki which was still the Divine Ice Sect grand elder who had been soaking in the same solution for a very long time and she had not used for a long time while Rashida and the others had theirs which had been soaking in it since the time that they had been acquired.

The grand elder looked to be far more powerful and durable compared to the other corpse puppets but it wasn't just that which made it so deadly of a weapon.

The solution they had all soaked in is highly poisonous and those without poison resistance were vulnerable against it unless they were able to get some time to remove the poison from their bodies with their qi.

While under attack they would have to clash with or avoid these puppets who blocked their path and risk being poisoned to try to escape.

Under constant attacks they would be forced to be unable to rest.

Ki removed the mask on her face and replaced it with a dark red one with a certain pattern on it.

In her previous life, the blood sect used certain markings and patterns to discern those of authority within the sect.

Ki used the design of her mask to match that of a high ranking elder from the sect.

After finding the location of the entrance, she quickly found that the entrance had been securely closed from the inside to not allow further entry.

She began to bang heavily on the door in a certain rhythm and then calmly waited alone while the others hid nearby.

The door was opened revealing a disgruntled looking Blood Sect core disciple, who looked towards her but as soon as they saw her mask they immediately became respectful. "Elder? No.. we have not been informed of any visitors? Has there been a change in the plan."

Ki spoke coldly with a hint of contempt in her voice. "The sect master wishes to see no further failures due to breaking of the rules so he has sent out some others to begin assisting with this important task."

Her voice was had been disguised to allow the person opposite her to be unable to guess her gender but as the person looked more closely towards her body shape that had been hidden within the robes they revealed a look of confusion. "You.. you are no.."

Suddenly an arrow flew towards him and he fell downwards back into the underground passage without being able to lock it behind him.

Ki stood there calmly and said in a cold voice. "It matters not if you recognise me as who I am disguised as. That is not the thing I am trying the achieve but instead it is just a distraction."

She calmly placed her hand on the door that would have been hidden under some mud and grass and made sure that it did not close shut after the blood sect core disciple fell down.

Right away the corpses began to jump down towards the body of the fallen disciple and began to tear him apart.

Her objective was to simply get them to open the door for her while making them believe that she was one of them, she was able to buy enough time to allow the door to remain open and gain entry to it.

Now that it had been achieved, the corpse puppets could fulfil their roles within the passage way.
