Stadium

With the plans for the stadium or fighting arena being pushed forward to the other families to cooperate with, it also opened up new opportunities for other groups that were involved with betting.

When it was built, it would attract the attention of the sects which would allow the nearby sects to use it as a place of meeting or competition but there would also be several other things happening at other times.

Horse racing, jousting, dog racing, archery tournaments and public fights in the middle of the stadium or arena would be betted on in many places so it was better to arrange a public location within the city or in the stadium.

Those involved with the criminal elements of the city like those working with Nox would be able to reap the benefits from illegal gambling while there would also be gambling that was handled in a more safe and secure manner by those under Ki's influence so both areas were carefully controlled within the area to prevent additional groups forming that would take advantage of the events for their own benefits.

Since the location had been chosen for it to be built in the old hunting grounds that most of the young masters from the noble families had held their hunting games, it was a location that had not received much attention since they had all been punished for their crimes.

Although it was a place that was linked to famous wrongdoings, it was still in the right location and had a large and open space so it could be used as a central location for many cities to visit.

If they were attracted by the events in the stadium then they may also take a trip to the merchant city or the other two cities nearby which would help to increase the visitors and amount of trading done.

Overall trade would be greatly increased and the amount of visitors from other places would rise after it was built but the bets, viewing fees and other things would help to pay for the costs of the land and building of the stadium.

As the renovations to the main defences of the village were slowly reaching completion after a long time, there was still opportunities for the builders to find new work under her and it would not just end with the stadium as new lands were slowly being purchased and turned into farmlands or small villages that could help produce additional supplies and be a place for raising additional forces for herself.

In additional to those projects, there would be a need for making repairs to and working on the roads and other routes that are connected to the cities and villages in the surroundings so more support needed to be drawn for them within Wolfden City.

After all had been done with preparations and other issues, Ki had decided to put down her sword for the time being and focus more on the present situation surrounding her family.

Her heart demon had grasped many of her own thoughts and worries that had troubled her in her previous life and her new life, she had a difficult challenge ahead of herself if she wished to rise in power so she truly needed inner peace and tranquility that could not be obtained by some kind of miracle elixir, drug or even her own high quality wines.

She had repressed far too much and it was spilling out all over the place ready to cause harm to her at the critical moment when she attempts her breakthrough.

Her sword named Evil was sheathed and sent to the brother and sister blacksmiths who would be working with others who had been studying mystical runes and markings so that it could be completed.

Many who had gained a lot from their own journeys were taking time to absorb what they had learned or digest their gains but some just took the time to relax a little.

Even most of the Unrestrained Realm powerhouses had been living peaceful lives within the village as they had adjusted to their new environment and roles.

Ki spent most of her time relaxing under her mulberry tree as she cultivated and practiced her martial arts but she often spent time with her brother and sister who she rarely had time for.

She found enjoyment in playing around with them and teaching them martial arts as it was something she had in common with each of them.

Slowly she was working out the flaws in her sword arts but she still felt as if there was a problem with it that she could not yet figure out.

Her poisonous Noxious Qi was gradually becoming much more refined and pure but so was her Blood Qi which was slowly pushing her closer to breaking past the next realm earlier than she would have expected so she would have to eventually start suppressing it or would have to halt her cultivation completely to avoid any accidents.

Nobody in the whole continent could possibly cultivate their own strength to her realm within such a short time unless they relied heavily on a technique that damaged them or they ate lots of miracle drugs but Ki had not only an evil qi art that uses blood as if it were an elixir but also the Generation Qi art that uses the blood qi to nurture her main qi art.

Her noxious qi was becoming even more dangerous the more that she trained it to greater heights and as it became purer but her poisons had continued to be refined within her research room.

With the help of her mystical arts, the speed of her cultivation and the difficulties that came with it had been greatly reduced.

The immunity to many poisons aided her in attaining faster progress with her Noxious Qi Art and it had also aided her during the times that she spent bathing in poisonous body tempering baths and absorbed the poisoned blood that she had collected to further refine her body.

Her body was gradually maturing further and becoming much more beautiful and stronger than before which many had started to notice even more with every passing day.

Just like any other day, she sat under her mulberry tree and a small silk moth flew around her body and rested on her shoulder gently as she focussed on something else.

Her hands held onto a wooden instrument with strings and a bow as she moved it side to side and produced a unique sound each time.

The tone was heavy due to the materials being used to make the bow and strings being different from those found in the central lands and it had more of a sound that was often heard in the north.

Most of their songs were full of warfare, old tales, liveliness and adventure so the instrument that she played would be seen often among those performing in taverns or that are a part of the northern nobility and would be accompanied by drums and a flute to produce music that would let people reminisce about their glory days.

A large husky and malamute mixed dog named Nova lay by her side and occasionally twitched its ear when the sounds were produced but she seemed to be very used to it as she lay there quietly and was well behaved.

Sometimes the tone produced from the instrument would become heavier or lighter and then it would become faster and slower as Ki was slowly integrating herself with her music but she was still a very long way away from being skilled enough to be a disciple of the Sound Clan's ex leader. "Hu.. it is still a long way until I can do as she has taught me."

While she was playing, she was getting too absorbed in her own emotions as they were brought out and she was gradually making her music more chaotic so she was told to practice more to allow herself to slowly integrate with the music and let the right intent and emotions flow out along with the musical notes to suit the individual song.

Slowly as she understood more about the soul, emotions or the spirituality of sound and humans then she would be one step closer to being qualified to learn the sound arts directly and then work towards healing herself enough to allow a chance to achieve a breakthrough to the Unrestrained Realm.
