Forgiveness

If Ki was ever going to be able to make some progress with herself then she needed to come to terms with who she had been and to learn to love herself. "We have been scarred, traumatised and brought to the brink of death only to survive.

If we did not have vengeance to carry us on then we may not have been able to survive much longer. All that remains is the emotional scars while the physical ones are no longer there but that does not mean that we cannot remember everything about it.

The burning and stinging pains we had to endure. The slightest breeze that caused irritation and pain. Even the blood arts and a strong vitality provided by them could not overcome what we had already suffered from.

If we cannot find some love for each other and find acceptance of each other then it will be even more difficult to be able to live on any further without those that are around now. The slightest misfortune could cause us to self destruct once again.

Just know that we have to keep going and we will continue with what has been done. Not for revenge or spite of any kind but instead for the sake of a better future for us and those we care for. We have to go now.. there are people that need us.

I would not have just come here like this so soon if events had not unfolded as they did. It is not that I do not trust in them but I cannot leave things to chance. Delaying our meeting any further would only make me continue to hesitate to come here and that may have been worse for me."

The figure in her arms was very small and boney that it looked very weak, it was so thin that the outlines of the bones were clearly visible.

There were many wounds that had been cut into the flesh and some of them were so deep that they had cut into some of the muscle past the skin while some had cut deep to the bone.

The face was torn apart and looked frightening to look at while the brown hair was a dirty muddy colour with the hair going down to the ground.

The feet were buried in the black blood and dirt pool up to their knees like they were a part of it or that they were being swallowed up by the pool.

The skin on the body seemed to be breaking apart into ash and black miasma as the body was breaking down in the arms of Ki.

A skeletal form remained of the younger version of Ki that had looked up towards her, its eye sockets continued to glow with an ominous red as the jaws of the skull had moved. "You better not fail or I will not forgive you. It would have been better if you did not have such ties to yourself then you could be truly free."

Ki looked down with pity in her eyes as the figure was slowly burning up and scattering. "It is a shame that you can not see how much those ties have helped me to grow. Farewell."

The body had turned to nothing as it scattered and the surroundings had started to slowly disperse.

The bones, blood, dirt, flames, ash and many other remains were left behind and were within the view of Ki before they had dispersed too.

The space had slowly brightened around her and her consciousness was pulled away to another unfamiliar place.

It was like something had been surpassed both in body and mind after she had come to accept many things that she had difficulty with in the past.

The most difficult thing that Ki could have done was to find a way to forgive herself and to escape her wrath.

Once that had been done then she needed to find a way to love herself so that she could live a better life and to not let her loved ones worry about her.

If she could not forgive herself then she would never have enough confidence to ask for forgiveness from others or to forgive others for the wrongs they had done.

Most acts of charity or repentance would seem like she was just trying to use such methods to try to lessen her own guilt about the things she had done.

Ki no longer wished to be consumed by wrath and was tired of living that way since she had done so for far too long.

It was like she was a child of wrath that had never known how to grow up even at an old age, the hatred and anger was pointed towards herself but also many others.

The Blood Sect may have played a part in a lot of what had happened in the earlier parts of her suffering but not everything was their fault.

The world was a much crueler place than it looked and there were many dark corners of the world where Ki had encountered the worst of humanity.

The Blood Sect may have been her main enemy but there were many more evils within the Central Lands and they were not only within Sects or Alliances that were made up of unorthodox aligned factions.

The Martial Alliance was just as dangerous and had many skeletons in its closet that were hidden away from the world in order to keep up their righteous and pristine appearance.

The scenery started changing from a bright white which had swept away the darkness which had slowly drawn her attention to become immersed in what was forming in its place.

A seed in the soil along with many other seeds had begun to poke out from the ground one after another.
