Bloodletting

"Guh"

"Wha.."

"Argh!"

"It stings!"

"Oh my gaaaa!"

Many painful screams began to erupt among the many people who had managed to preserve their own lives.

Each one of them started with feeling irritation within their bodies followed by sharper stinging pains like they were being stabbed by many tiny needles.

It worsened as they insides started to feel unbearable irritation and pain which worsened as it spread through their entire bodies through their blood.

It started at their wounds and travelled quickly through their bloodstream flowing all around very quickly without a way for them to stop it.

There was something very important that they had missed during the battle and it was costing their lives.

The wounds that had sustained were being drained of their blood and they were able to come up with a way to seal their wounds but that only further sealed their fate.

Their wounds that were losing blood rapidly had reduced the effects they would have to endure within their bodies since it was more difficult to spread when lots of blood was leaving them.

Ki had used her Poison Qi on her hands as it slowly began to solidify around her sword coating the blood on it.

The blood became contaminated and the solidified Poison Qi had been very thin to go unnoticed so each stab and cut done by Ki during the battle had already applied the poisonous effects to their wounds.

The draining of their blood eliminated the poison from the blood in their bodies and minimized the manifestation of poison to a certain degree.

Bloodletting had to be done immediately in cases where a poisoned area became discoloured, rigid, swollen, and painful which had been done by the effects of Ki's blood draining Mystical Arts.

It reduced their discomfort greatly and the effects of the spread but it was not completely effective in stopping the spread throughout the body.

Once they closed their wounds, they eliminated the only way to reduce the effects and it continued to worsen to a degree that it took immediate effect within the first couple of seconds of them freezing their wounds.

Their insides were exposed to the many effects that her Poison Qi brought on.

Even those with the strongest of willpower would suffer in agony until they died from the later effects that attacked their internal organs.

The pain spread throughout their bodies to the point that they began to scream out and yell in horror.

Some with a lesser pain threshold had dropped to their knees clawing at their own bodies while they rolled around on the icy cold ground in hopes of reducing their suffering.

Those who could no longer endure what they were feeling began to wish for death so that they could suffer no longer.

Those with the resolve to end their own lives reached out towards their weapon and thrust it towards their vitals hoping for their death to be swift and without pain.

Ki was finishing up fighting those who continued to remain within the group.

Each of her movements and attacks were efficiently done as there was a mix of light cuts, heavy cuts and deep stabs on parts of their bodies.

Each one was calculated to do enough to them to complete her task of doing enough harm to them in order to kill them with one or more wounds without having to worry about having to discard her weapon.

There were many times in combat that she had learned that there were many Martial Artists and groups who often turned the tables on those that stabbed their weapons deep into their opponents bodies during one of their moves.

Ki had experienced it many times herself and there were times when there were those that took a stab in order to secure a hold onto her or her weapon.

Those that did so intended to launch a counter attack or to provide an opportunity for those around them.

The enemy was never allowed to get too close and her sword would never go too deeply into their bodies as she attacked them which was her style of combat which had been very suitable for her way of survival and it matched well with her use of poison and blood.

Ki never had to discard her weapon to protect her own life and she would not be caught by an opponent who made a desperate attempt at the cost of their own lives.

Her use of her surroundings and her sword was done perfectly as if she had mastered the use of the sword within a certain range surrounding her body allowing her to block, parry and attack anything within that range.

After she was done, Ki stood among the dead bodies as blood swirled around her body that came from each of them.

The blood disappeared inside her Blood Mystical Arts markings on her skin which began to slowly lose the glow they released previously.

Her gaze went along the faces of the people she had killed before stopping at one of those that she had killed who were on the weaker side of the group.

Her brows knit as she saw his appearance. 'Hah..'
