The forest

Katheryn and Aragon walked towards the east. The forest was not far away and could be reached in a few minutes. The forest could be seen during normal times, but now it was obscured by fog.

"How long does this season last?"

"Ah!" Katheryn spoke in an irritated voice.

"Aunt, how did my father fight in the hunt?" Aragon asked her question out of the blue. As she said yesterday, they went hunting together. He just wanted to stop her nagging, so he asked her a question.

"Oh! Wait, he and I fought most of the time. But he was not the type of strong man."

"Sorry, nephew, your father was not much of a great warrior," Katheryn replied, shrugging her shoulders.

Aragon listened to her but didn't respond. He didn't know much about him, and he didn't care either. It didn't matter to him; now that he was not here.

Noticing his silence, Katheryn said, "We are about to enter the forest." Those beasts in the initial areas are not that strong. We need to move to the southeast side."

"That is the home for many wild magical beasts."

"Are you ready for this?" Katheryn looked at him and asked.

"I hope I can test my strength and how far I have reached." He tightened his grip on his sword.

"Nice, my boy!" "You have to be confident, but remember to be careful, all right."

"Stay with me and don't wander off on your own."

Aragon was looking at the surroundings. He had only gone to the mountains; he didn't come into the forest much. It was said in the village that only warrior men were allowed to enter the forest. as it contained dangerous beasts that normal people could not fathom.

As they entered the forest, they could see the large trees, which had wide trunks and roots spread on the ground. Some trees had meter-long leaves.

Katheryn was like a veteran; having experienced the beasts here, she knew where they rested and how they moved. She was calm and walked leisurely with Aragon. She was glancing at him from time to time, wanting to see Aragon's reaction, but Aragon was serene and showed no enthusiasm for seeing the big and green forest. Any kid his age would jump and want to roam the forest, but Aragon was simply looking around and walking just like her.

"How is it?"

"The forest, I believe this is your first time here?"Katheryn asked the question, seeing him.

"Green and fresh, still mountain morning breeze is much better than the air here," Aragon replied.

"If you talk about those mountains again around me," Katheryn flicked his head with her finger.

"Oww! Aunt!" Aragon, with his eyes half closed, looked at her.

"Can't you handle a little pain?" Katheryn flicked again on his forehead.

"Oww"

"Oww"

"Okay, okay, stop it." Ahh!" Aragon's shouts echoed in the forest.

It was midday, and the sun was directly overhead. The morning fog cleared off, and the forest could be seen distinctly. The forest had a lot of vegetation with a variety of plants. This forest covered a large portion of the area. In this forest, different types of fruits can be found. And those diverse fruits were planted by these tribal people. In ancient times, the ancestors of these tribal people collected eatable plants and fruit plants, then planted them in these lands. It was what they lived on.
