Understanding the Game

The demonstration about how to play the Royalties was simple.

There was no such thing as a tutorial, just a bunch of FAQs with visuals. It also presented the existence of chat which Frinces thought was nonexistent.

Amazingly, she could add other players using their in-game IDs that were found in the game card. It must be taxing to remember a 12-digit combination. How many players could be using this game?

Every player in the Royalties started as an orphan. Swain wanted the players to choose their careers. Subconsciously, players tried getting as many jobs as possible in the first hour after it was launched.

However, after the attempt to grab the third career, it became impossible.

Many players wanted to stop playing the game, but the Swain kept it a secret. They announced that once achievements are unlocked, secrets will be revealed. There's also a chance that a wish, in reality, will be granted as long as it's within their capabilities.

Royalties may be a dating game, but they could also die. After all, players have the freedom to do anything in the game just to increase their affinity or reputation within the kingdom they belong to.

Instead of experience points, the Royalties used Affinity points to increase the player's level. They could increase their affinity level by interacting with certain NPCs. Some NPCs are grumpy so it would be hard to level up.

If they can no longer do it, they can increase their Reputation. Reputation increases through contributing something good for the kingdom, the continent, or the world. The other way to increase reputation was unlocking an achievement and gaining a rank.

As for the attribute points, it only increased when one reached a rank.

"Stingy!" Frinces helplessly commented. Fortunately, she has not yet distributed all of her 20 points. She also got a bonus of 20 AP directly added to her Growth from the rating.

Most players added their AP to Growth as it was the only attribute that would not increase after they started the story.

Frinces also got a clue about the bosses of the game.

There are 13 immortals in the game. These 13 people became immortals after attaining the highest peak of a specific career. However, no one knows where they are hiding now.

Even when their existence was currently unknown, their subordinates and students were widely spread in the whole world, on different continents.

The bosses were divided into three rates: third-rate, second-rate, first-rate.

The third-rate boss was a subordinate of the second-rate boss. They have no information about the first-rate but they could surely help the player meet the second-rate boss.

The second-rate boss was the direct subordinate of the first-rate boss. But they were the hardest to conquer.

As for the first-rate boss, it was rumored it was the immortals. No one in the NPCs knew the authenticity of the story.

There were too many confusing details in the Legends of the Immortals. There were too many loopholes and maybe, it would only be filled once a player unlocked the correct route towards it.

Ring... ring...

Frinces looked at the time. It's already one p.m, an hour past lunchtime.

She looked at the sparkling banner in front of her.

「13 Legendary Jobs」

"I'll look into it later."

Frinces got out of the VR cabin and cooked food for her lunch.

Since she started living a healthy lifestyle, she started cooking for herself. If she didn't know how to cook it, she would watch it on WeTube. She stopped buying commercial foods and junk foods unless she badly craved them.

Whenever she looked at herself in the mirror for the first time she left her sedentary lifestyle, she found herself looking skinny and tall.

Her chest was flat and realized she was living separately from the visual characters in the otome game. She always chose big breast Onees to look good.

She forgot that it was only effective in the game.

On the first day of her pre-retirement, she left her apartment. She walked into the park then suddenly, a young girl called her big brother with long hair!

It was quite painful. She looked like a girl though. She has breasts, although flat, an ovary, and feminine features. She could also produce a baby!

It may be impossible for now. After all, Frinces was a shut-in who refused to go out of seclusion.

So Frinces decided to cook for herself and learn to cook healthy and delicious foods! She has been eating healthily, yet her body remains the same. Maybe it was not easy to get a little fat on her body? Because it is!

The downturn in doing this every day was, her money quickly decreased. She had already used her savings, and she didn't have a job!

The Swain Company's invitation arrived on time. The day before, she went to the nearest middle school to apply as a sex education teacher. In the middle of the interview, the interviewer angrily kicked her out.

Before she could walk further, the interviewer's loud voice resounded in her ears.

"Audacious! How dare that woman to apply here as a sex education teacher! She wanted the students to learn how to flirt! G*ddamn flirt!"

She has a Master's degree in Education, yet she was kicked away. Nothing's more frustrating than that.

Frinces immediately proceeded to plan B. She sent electronic applications to different companies and opened her mail to check if she was hired. Unfortunately, she wasn't.

But it was also good. Swain Company had offered a bigger salary than those companies she applied to.

Frinces finished her food with satisfaction. The goal to get fat is still on!

She went back to the demo about the Royalties.

The Legendary Jobs consisted of both hard and easy to master, but both were hard to breakthrough.

The 13 jobs were BEASTMASTER, GATHERER, CONQUEROR, APOTHECARY, APPRAISER, COOK, BUTCHER. TRAVELER MERCHANT, SMITHY, WINEMAKER, FARMER, SAILOR, AND FISHERMAN.

Frinces read and played it again and again.

None were aggressive careers in the legendary jobs? How about mercenaries, warriors, or hunters? Not even assassins or mages?

Then, how did they reach the peak?

Frinces frowned deeply. Her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Damn that! I'll try everything and unravel the reason why! Who cares about the bosses? They should stay still and not bother me while I'm playing detective!"
