Old NPC's Direction

Frinces went back to the game now that she has a general idea of how to play it. Basically, they were just living a second life inside the game.

The world in the game focused on gaining strength and also wealth. A job, such as those in the legend, was initially looked down on.

One needed strength to fend off enemies and beasts attacking their kingdom. Mercenaries also existed like what Frinces were expecting.

Wealth used to purchase items necessary for the NPCs to get stronger. Since the 13 Immortals made a name for themselves, the reputation of cultivators lowered a little.

Sometimes, people would call them shrimp heads. It was demotivating for the people who risked their lives for the citizens to live peacefully.

Eventually, a rift occurs between the two.

"I'm glad you chose to be a Knight, Prince."

The old NPC smiled. He told the general events of what happened in the world. It was the same as the rest of the continents.

The affinity bar on top of the old NPC was blinking green. Below has the mark of number 94.

Frinces affinity towards the NPC almost reached 100. Her affinity for her status also increased by 43. There were 57 affinity left to increase her level to 2.

"I'm just taking an examination, Old Persi. I don't even know if I'll succeed," Frinces replied frankly.

"Didn't you use the blessings the god has given to you orphans?"

"Blessings?"

"You called it attributes. The god, whose name we are oblivious of, gives poor children like you a set of gifts."

Frinces realized what the old NPC meant.

She almost forgot to distribute her Attribute Points.

She opened her character window and distributed the 20 AP to Charisma, Wisdom, and Talent. Multiplier x2 activated right away.

She received the multiplier after having 20 points in her Growth.

Now, her character windows looked like this.

「Name: Prince

Affinity: 43/100

Level: 1 Rank: -

Career: Orphan Reputation: 0

Affiliation: Spring Continent's Root Kingdom

Charisma: 2 (2)

Wisdom: 7 (2)

Growth: 20 (fixed)

Talent): 11 (2)

Attribute Points: 0

Special Privilege...」

Frinces squinted her eyes. She sure saw this "Special Privilege" mark from the character creation. She thought it was a hoax.

Since it's right at her front, she just opened it.

「Your account is detected to be a special user.」

「Granting the rights to the list of all routes to player

「The list is available until the end of the third month after the player registration.」

「Granting the Career "All-Rounder" to player

「All Rounder: Granting the player to learn all careers without a limit. Increases all attributes, except Growth, by 1 every level up.」

Frinces was amazed. The Swain Company made things particularly easy for her.

A checklist appeared on her character window.

"A total of 140 routes?!"

"Boy, the examination for Knighthood would begin in a few minutes. What are you standing there in a daze?"

Frinces shifted her attention back to Old Persi. She smiled softly as she apologetically answered, "I'll be right there, but I wonder where it is?"

"Enter the village, walk straight until you meet another entrance on the other side. Just follow the flow of people."

Frinces was about to go when Old Persi grabbed her hand to stop.

"Your clothes looked tattered and old. Buy something before entering the City."

「Ding! You receive a bag of 15 gems.」

Frinces bid goodbye after receiving the gift.

She entered the village for the first time since she registered. She surveyed the surroundings and watched the people live their seemingly mundane lifestyles. There were also children running here and there without a care in the world.

It was so peaceful that the thought of living here surfaced in Frinces' mind.

She shook her head. What was she thinking? She usually mixed reality and games in her mind. The two undeniably have a distinction.

It would be better to judge when she got to experience the game more.

Frinces straightly followed the cobblestone road until she arrived at the exit. As she passed by, she saw that other than old Persi, she had 50 or neutral affinity towards everyone in the village.

She understood that it must be the only way to prevent NPCs from treating her with hostility.

On the other side of the exit, she saw another path leading towards a gigantic gate.

There she saw people arriving there on horses, caravans, or foot. Some have a weapon and a small pouch bag tied to their waist.

Frinces blinked unbelievably. It was an unfamiliar scenario.

It looked similar to the historical Eastern Dramas she saw on the internet.

Most of the people have long, straight hair dyed in black. They must be the cultivators. Even from afar, she could feel their suffocating auras. Yet even though they looked dangerous, they looked fit and had good looks.

Maybe it was the effect of the charm?

It was also at this time when Frinces realized one thing. The players were not limited to females but also males.

Their names floated on top of their heads. They don't have something akin to the NPCs.

Should she add the names she saw from there?

Frinces opened the chat interface when she recalled the examination. Right, she can add them later. She's sure, a new set of players would be there.

She then followed the advice of old Persi and followed the flow of people.

「You have entered the Grass City of Root Kingdom」

Frinces blanked out. The developers of Swain Company have a weird naming sense.

She heaved a sigh. What they had done was none of her business.

She absentmindedly tailed the flock of people. She had no idea if they would lead her to the place where the examination took place.

The crowd halted in one place. It didn't seem to be the Knight's Quarters.

The crowd was raising their heads up and down like chickens cocking their heads. It looked bizarre.

Sweat beaded down from her forehead. Did she get lost?

She walked faster and cut through the crowd. She wanted to see what was in front.

She saw a tall man with a good physique in front of her. He looked reliable-- at least that was what emanated from his body.

He wore an expensive-looking royal blue hanfu, clothing used by Ancient Chinese.

Frinces looked at herself. Her yellowish skin contrasted with the old brown hanfu clothing.

'I'll buy an expensive one too once I get rich. This damn company didn't even give me a pair of clothing!' She cursed inwardly as she approached the man.

"Excuse me, Respected Sir."

The man turned his head to look at the man with a feminine beauty beside him. Their height was about the same.

"Hm?" He answered shortly and scrutinized Frinces' avatar.

Before Frinces could answer, a banner appeared before her eyes.

「Congratulations! You have completed route no. 117!」
