Chapter 19: The Talk With Reddit

It was Reddit...

He shouted at his staff to be more careful. He was continuously blaming them for being too loud and for questioning me.

I tapped at his shoulder and told him too calm down. He said he had many questions and was eager to know what had happened. I told him I wanted to talk to him about it personally.

I also said grinning...

"Don't worry about them, they don't dare prevoke me in the future!"

"How about my lair?" I said with a cold smile.

Reddit definitely looked confused. So, I asked him for back door. He showed me the way which went through his room.

It was easy to guess that he was a hacker from the looks of his room. It was completely dark with the only light source being two computers placed carefully at the table.

"Seems like you have grown your business, the last time I saw you..you were running behind other.. business officials to hire you" I said with a laugh which was warm and welcoming.

"Yeah! now they run after me and pay me more than normal market price" Reddit said.

"That would be around eighty thousand dollars, huh!" I said.

"Yep, that's accurate! but that would have not been possible without you. If you hadn't helped me out of that business man's hands who used my skills and was about to kill.." Said Reddit recalling.

"I know what happened, no need to tell me" I said.

We were out of the back door and there was no one there. I asked if there were any cameras and there weren't. "Perfect!" I said with ease.

"What are you gonna do?" asked Reddit in concern. He was about two years younger than me. I was twelve when I saved him and he was just ten.

It had been just a two years since he joined the dark web and was like a little brother for me but he knew how far I could go...

I had set the record for killing in the fastest time at 11 and broke in the most heavily guarded place at 13 and that to without being detected.

"Nothing relax" I said with a teasing smile.

"Relax!.. around you.." he said.

"Come on little brother, hold my hand" I said calming him.

"And hold on tight" I added.

He didn't hold my hand right away...

"Sister.. what are.." Reddit asked.

"Come on, if I wanted to kill you I would have done it two years ago!" I grinned.

"Ok, fine" he said after understanding that I was not gonna leave till he said yes.

He held onto my hand but was trembling. I gave him a comforting gaze. I said run. I started to run with him beside me and just like that I was as fast as the wind.

He was able to run as fast as me because he held my hand. He was out of words.

Our little talk had lasted for about two minutes but in just one minute we had travelled from England to Scotland.

A six hour drive covered with just one minute of run...

We stopped in front of our it was quite here just like always. Not a person in sight. Reddit was not tired or out of breath.

"What happened?" asked Reddit.

"We ran till Scotland" I said.

"In a minute?" He said.

"Yes" I replied.

"How?" he asked.

"Well, I was in a coma about three weeks back.." I answered.

"Why?" asked Reddit worried.

"No reason and it lasted for three hours only..Shall I continue?" I said

"Uh..yes.." he said.

"Ok, then..somehow when I woke up I had these strange abilities.." I said said closing the door behind and that plain room turned all blue and black neon.

Then I pressed that tile with my foot and it made all the guns and swords and two soft black cushions appear. The I displayed my tricks.

I leavitated the cushions and touched Reddit and he dissapered...

"As time goes by these tricks keep getting better and stronger." I continued.

He still had a lot of questions. I gave him a seat and answered and cleared his doubts. But when he asked about my parents...

"Sister Sapphire I had forgotten, How are your parents?" asked Reddit but after see the tears in my eyes he stopped and asked again.

"Are the not well.." he said calmly.

"They were murdered!" I said interuppting him in anger.

He was startled. 'Who did dare mess with the Dread X's parents?' he thought to himself. He looked at me with surprise he had never seen me like this.

The often cold was in tears...

He pulled him cushion beside mine and comforted me. He then remembered the newspaper. "Sister Saph, did you know that they saw you are cap..?"

"Yeah! about that.." I said wiping my tears away.

"I need your help" I continued.

"Anything!" he said with a comforting smile.

"Let's go then" I said and pressed the tile again and opened the door.

"Hold on.." before I could say anything he held my hand tight.

WOOSH!!

We were back at the back door of Reddit's office. I checked the time and it had been ten minutes since we had gone.

He gave me chair to sit on and asked "what do you need"...

"Well can you hack into the Duke of England's system" I asked with a sneaky smile.

"Yeah.. ofcourse" he replied.

I told him that when he'll be done he could come over to my room in the school and he agreed. I was about to leave before he stopped me.

He wanted to drive me to my school...

"Twelve year old driving?" I said.

"Please!!" he said.

"Reddit, you can come with me if you want but will not drive" I said with a cold stare and he reluctantly agreed.

Before leaving with Reddit, I called up that gentleman driver and handed him a business card.

"Do you work somewhere?" I asked him.

"No" said the man attentively.

"Mr Will do you wanna be my personal driver?" I asked.

"Yes..yes, Miss Sapphire, that would be my honor" said Mr Will.

"Alright! you'll drive" I said.

"Yes, mam" said Mr Will.

Reddit frowned but understood why I was protecting him so much after knowing about my parents' death. I sat in the back with Reddit.

AT THE SCHOOL

We reached the school. I told Mr Will to take Reddit back and that I'll send my car to pick him later. I told him that it will be a royal red sports car.

Also that he just needs to show the card I gave him and talk further with anyone brings the car...

Just as I got out off the car, a boy with a small height came running towards me me. He probably looked like a nine to ten year old.

"Cousin Sapphire!" said that boy.

"Akil! you've grown up" I said.

He looked small but was the the right height since he was just nine year old. He had pale lips like his mother and curly hair like his father.

His eyes fell straight on the shine blue sports car I just got out of. Just then an old figure came walking fastly.

"Akil, you slow down now" said that old lady.

"Grandma Zener, how are you?!" I said in order to greet her.

"Fine, dear. How would I be after seeing you today!" said Grandma Zener.

It was clear that I was a respected figure among the Zener family.

Reddit also came out of the car. He looked at Akil for a while and towards me with a questioning look. He was in the car so didn't heard anything.

"Reddit this my father's sister's son and this is his grandmother" I said.

"And this Reddit. He is like a little brother to me" I added.

Reddit greeted Grandmother Zener. He also told Akil to listen to his grandmother. He bowed to me and said goodbye before leaving.

Akil's eyes followed Reddit to car and all the way till it left. After he left, Grandma Zener looked up and said...

"Dear your Aunt said you'll be helping Akil in his interview. Can I leave you to it?" asked Grandma Zener.

"Yes" I said politely but my coldness was back by now.

Another car came up to me. A driver came out and bowed gently. He then greeted me and asked for permission to speak.

Akil and Grandma Zener were surprised. No one of them had received this much respect in their entire lives that I just received in a few minutes.

I was calm but cold. "Go on". The driver then asked me if this car was ok for the dinner with my friends. I replied "yes" but he didn't leave.

Akil was about to touch the car and Grandma Zener pulled him away angerily...

"You don't know it's cost.. don't ruin it" said Grandma Zener sharply to Akil.

I looked at him and saw that he was scared and really liked racecars. I signalled the driver to open the back door and he respectfully did so.

"Grandma Zener don't worry, I have three cars like this one" I said.

"You wanna a ride!" I added looking towards Akil.

"Really!" he replied.

"Yeah, there are still five minutes left for your interview" I said.

The driver helped him sit on the back seat of the car. Then I told him to drive him till the intersection and back in three minutes and not more.

The driver agreed and went...

Grandma Zener was surprised. She had never even seen this car model in Whales but now her Grandson was riding in it.

The driver returned back exactly in three minutes. He got off and helped Akil out. Akil hugged me and thanked me.

I said to the driver that you are excused then only did he leave and that too after bowing. Grandma Zener was shocked that everyone respected me so much.

Especially after she saw that in three minutes the car was gone and I was on the phone, every single student or person who passed by greeted and bowed.

"Grandma Zener, you can join us for the interview" I said gently.
