Chapter 31: Old and New Nemesis

We sat down and talked a bit then I heard a sound. It was coming from the ruins. "Loki hear that?" "Yeah I'll go check it out. You stay here." "OK Loki."

Loki was using his skills to sneak up on the thing or someone who he was hearing. "Gottcha. Huh? What are you doing here Jax Jackson?" "Woah hang on there buddy I wasn't here to interrupt your romantic time. I came here to look for something and I tripped." "For 1, I am not your buddy if you hurt my wife or her family and 2 what are you looking for?" "A special rock I was told was here. It glows when a person touches it." 'Oh crap I better protect Akela. Its dangerous.' He said to himself. "Well I don't know of any rock like that. I best be going. My wife needs her rest. Good luck." "Hang on. Do you really not know about the rock?" "Why do you ask?" "No reason go get her some rest. I have other places to look." He went back to Akela and took her away from there.

"Loki who was it?" "It was Jax Jackson. Lets go stop by your dad's again. He might know something." "Ok sure." I walked with Loki back to dad's house.

"Hey again Dad." "Oh hey what's wrong?" Then Loki explained what happened when we were on our walk. "I see I knew he would be after it again. This time its his son. Sigh." "Dad what do we do?" "First calm down. You don't want to excite the child in your womb. Second Loki Talk to your boss so you can keep a better watch on her as part of your job this time. Plus its an investigation anyway right? You can be her protector." "Yes thank you sir." I will go over now even though its not my work day. Akela stay here with your dad ok?" "Be careful Loki." "I will." He was off to work.

"Dad I'm going to go rest." "Ok go rest in our bed. Its easier on you." "OK thank you." I went to my dad's room to lay down.

Not long after she fell into a deep sleep. Someone came into the room through the window. Everyone thought she was resting. Then the person picked her up princess style and took her away.

Not long after that happened Loki came barging in the house. "Where is Akela?!" "Relax she is laying down in our room." Loki went to go check and she wasn't there. The window was open too. "Dammit! Its too late!" He went to tell Orion what happened and knew just where to go Dad followed after he told Evi he was going. She told him to be careful. "You and our baby better be safe. If not I will kill him." Loki said to himself out loud.

A few hours later Akela was starting to wake up. "Hmm. Loki?" "I'm right here don't worry everything will be ok." Then they took him away. She woke up a little more wondering where she was. "Where? Where am i? Where is Loki?" "Relax Akela. You don't want to stress the baby out." Said Jax. "What do you want from me? Where is my fathers necklace?!" "Oh you mean this? Its safe and sound with me. Don't worry I won't let any harm come to it. By the way what is that choker you have on?" "Don't touch it. It keeps me from getting sick. It keeps my powers in check." "Oh so you have powers too. No wonder it shines so beautifully. What exactly are they?" "That I won't tell you. Like I said what do you want from me other than my Necklace?!" "Oh I don't want anything. My father might have a different opinion though." "Hello there little lady." Said the man. "Hello sir. You must be Jax father. May I ask what to call you?" "Oh excuse me where are my manners my name is Kinto. Kin for short. You can call me Kinto or Kin I don't mind which." "Ok Kinto. May I ask why I am here? Why kidnap me from my fathers house?" "I apologize for that Akela. I had to Lure your father hear. I forgot that your husband would come as well." "What did you do to him? Is he safe?" "He is in a cell right now as to not get in the way." "No my dream" I whispered to myself. "What was that Akela?" "Oh no nothing. Anyway since dad is here Can Loki an I leave?" "I'm afraid not. I need you here while I still have business with your father." "Where is my father? I want to see him." "Oh you will in time. First you need to eat. You don't want the child in you to go hungry do you?"

"Fine I'll eat. Just please sir. Don't hurt them." "If they cooperate I won't have too. Now get some rest. I will have a guard at your door and maid to look after you." Then I laid down to rest. I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.

Meanwhile Orion was in a different room. He was waiting for someone to receive him. Then the door opened. "Hello old friend." "Ha when have we been friends at all? Since we met each other we have been rivals. What exactly do you want from me?" "Well I sent my son over to your exwife's house to talk to Akela so he could ask her out. She was already taken by Loki. Well that's taken care of now. We really need an Heir. I am getting old and my son will be taken over soon. I would love for you to meet his fiancé. Bring her in." "Let me go! I will bite you!" "NO! Please anyone but her. She is my stepdaughter. Please let her go. I know someone who has loved your son since she was little Please let her go." "Oh is that so? Who might this woman be?" "The village that took me in. There was a woman around his age her name is Akina. Please meet her. She was brought to the village against her will. She was originally rich then her parents died. She had to live with her grandparents. Now that she is old enough to marry I promise you will like her." "Well I'll tell you what. I will give Nixie her own room and keep her in there until this woman you are talking about comes here." "May I take Loki with me?" "Why not. How far is this place?" "from here it's a 2 day journey. "Ok I will give you 1 week if you are not here by then I will make her marry my son and your daughter Akela will stay here for good." "I will make sure to come back."

Orion got up and waited for Loki. "I Heard the plan Orion. Lets hurry so I can go back to my wife." "We will be back in time if there is no danger." "Ok lets go."

I got up from the bed. I pretended to be asleep and heard the plan. No one was in the house so I tried to escape. I at least got out the door but the guard tried to stop me but I froze him and secretly followed. "Hang in there little one. Sorry about that roughness a few seconds ago. Now we are going to follow daddy and grandpa."

Finally I caught up with them. I secretly followed them. I'm assuming they already know I am here and are playing with me again. Finally they sat down to rest. I did too. 'Oops I breathed too loud. Someone had to have heard.' She felt a little weird so she laid down and passed out.

She woke up about an hour later. "Hmm. Where….where am I? Ow my stomach." "Hello sleeping beauty. You did well this time. We heard your breathing that's how we knew you were here." Said Loki. "Really? Wow Either your sweet talking me or your telling the truth. Either way its working. Shall we go now?" "Hold on a second. You said your stomach hurt. Are you ok now?" "Yeah seems like it was only temporary." "Ok when we get to the village we will have a doctor check you ok?" "Yeah. Thanks." So I continued to walk with them and halfway there I had to have Loki carry me.

"OK we are here. I will take you both to the doctor then find her." "OK dad. Be careful." Then dad left and I waited for the doc. A few min later the doc came by. "You must be Orion's daughter. Come with me." "Thank you." Loki and I walked in and I got checked out. She got a machine out and put some warm gel on my tummy then scanned it. "Oh there it is. Your baby is looking fine. Although you might want to not be so excited its still the first trimester the most dangerous part. Here take these herbs. Cook them in your tea to make your baby stronger." "Thank you maam." "Sure Take care of the little one in your belly ok?" "Thank you." Then dad came back and we told him about the situation. "That's good. The woman agreed to come back with us. She still wants to see Jax." "OK where is she?" I said curiously. "Oh she's outside waiting. Lets go."

While we were walking dad introduced Akina to me. "Akina. Meet my daughter Akela. She is pregnant. This is her Husband Loki." "Nice to meet you both. Congratulations on your pregnancy." "Thank you Akina. Not only for congratulating us but for doing this for us." "Oh no problem. I just hope he likes me." "Oh I think he will. He had his heart set on me first but I was already engaged to Loki then he took my stepsister Nixie. He is holding her hostage until you get there." "Yes I heard from Orion. I'm like a daughter to him he says." "Aww that's so sweet. Another sister." "I'd love to be your sister if I can see you again." "Well we will see." Said dad.

Finally we were back as on schedule. "We are back. Where is Kinto?" "I will go get him. Luckily he is with Jax at the moment." Said butler. Then not long after they showed up. "Oh A stowaway came back as well I see." "I had to. My husband was leaving." "Anyway is this the woman?" said Kinto. "Yes sir." "Hello sir. My name is Akina." She curtseyed. "Well mannered woman. Very nice." "Hello Young Master Jackson." "So you must be Akina." "Yes Young Master. I am." "Well then follow me please." Said Jax. "Father I am going to check her out and let you know ok?" "Ok son. I will keep them until then." Loki and I split back up and dad went to another room. I went back to my room.

I laid back down cause I was a little lightheaded. "Excuse me madam. My name is Marina. I will be your maid while you are staying here." "Y-yeah thank you. Sigh. I feel so awful and sick." "Do you need anything madam?" "No I'm ok thank you."

"Father! Where the hell is my father?!" "He is in his office. He is expecting you." "Sigh. When isn't he?" Jax went to his fathers office. "Father. I have some news. I like this woman. She is quite interesting. She knows when to be polite and when to be herself. She kept that rich vibe she had when she was with her parents." "Was? What do you mean?" Then Jax told him about her situation. "I see and who were her parents?" "I didn't ask. Should I bring her father?" "Yes please." Then he left to go get her.

"Hello Akina. I heard your situation. I'm sorry. Who were your parents?" "Richard and Marcella Stark. "Oh so you are a stark? How long ago did they die?" "Well sir I was 5 years old and now I am the same age as your son." "No wonder they changed your last name. Can I ask how they died?" "We were all sleeping then dad started waking me up. There was smoke everywhere. It wasn't fire it was poisonous gas. I almost died but they brought me back. Father and mother didn't make it. They saved my life." "I see I'm sorry. Are your grandparents still alive?" "Yes I stayed with them until Orion came and got me. They are my mothers parents." "I see. Well then you are welcome to stay here with my son. We shall make a date for the wedding soon." "Thank you sir." Then she got up but before she left she asked. "Sir. If I may? I'd like to ask a question." "Yes what is it?" "Are you going to let Akela and her family go? She is a sweet woman." I will let her and her step sister go. I'm afraid I can't let her husband or father go yet." "Well please don't hurt them." "I will do my best. Jax take her along." "Yes father." Then they left and Kinto headed back to Akela.

"Hello Akela. I will let you and your stepsister go. I'm afraid I can't let your father and husband go." "Fine. But don't expect me not to bring any help when I go back." So me and my step sister were on our way back home. She was in tears.

"Thank you sister." Said Nixie. "Oh hey now. Your ok. Your welcome." We got home and I went to my uncles house first. I told him the situation Dad was in. "I see. I will get some men to rescue your father and husband asap." "Wait before you go I will drop Nixie off home with her mom then I will be right back here." Then I took her home and came back. "I know I shouldn't but I am coming with you. I already told the man I am coming with help. He didn't believe me." "OK fine. Just stay close to me ok?" "Thank you uncle." Then uncle explained the situation to the men and then they started getting ready. "Just be careful when we are out there Akela. WE don't' want any harm coming to you or your baby." "Thank you uncle. I promise once we are back home I will rest at least until the first trimester is over. I got 2 more months for that anyway." Then we headed out back to Jax's house.

First place we snuck into was the where the Cells were. I got to excited then ran off. I didn't hear uncle yell. After bout 4 Cells I found Loki. "Loki! Oh Loki. Loki! Loki!" "Hmm. Akela? Is that you?" "Yes its me. Hang in there I will get you out." There was dirt so I started digging. I realized it was like my dream. "No. It can't be. Loki this was my dream."
