Alert: Adventurer Avon has joined your party

'Alert: Adventurer Avon has joined your party.'

"Wow, that was an impressive fight!" Chaaya walked over to us in the middle of the arena. She was clapping her hands like she had just watched two children sing. How even now does she manage to look down on everyone?

"Why thank you, I suppose you're Rhy's master. Would that make you mine now?"

"No no you can just help us out in dungeons since neither of us are capable of soloing a rank a gate."

"You mean I'm not. I'm not sure you could take an E-rank gate."

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Chaaya's hands were by her side balled into fists. Her teeth were grinding together. She looked like she was ready to hit me.

"Hahahahaha, you guys are funny, My name is Avon and I'm looking forward to working with you although for today I don't think I'll be of much use."

"I am Chaaya the greatest summoner and the one who will become the greatest adventurer known to this world. We are staying in the same place as you in room eight."

"Ah well that is convenient. I am in room three so come and find me tomorrow when you're ready to head out."

"We will but for now I'm starving after that fight you know where we can eat."

"Oh actually I know about a nice tavern that's up the road. It's really cheap too."

"Sounds perfect."

We all went to the tavern, we drank and talked telling each other everything about our time in this world.

The next day we got up at nine in the evening and knocked on Avon's door. We set out for our first B-rank dungeon. It was probably the most nervous I'd felt since I arrived in this world, none of us had any idea of what to expect.

'Alert: Master Chaaya has opened a B-rank gate'

The doors swung open and a familiar magic pulled us in. in a flash it started. I was almost twice the level I was when I fought the lifeless knight, was that enough.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Conjure" '

My armour was equipped and my sword dropped to my side. In Front of us was a dark jungle. There were tall trees that stretched out of sight and no light hit the floor. But despite that a small glint flew through the air in front of us. My eyes widened with horror. I jumped in front of Chaaya.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Smash" '

I punched into the air, wind pushing from behind me and stopping the small iron in mid air. It dropped to the ground in front of me laying in the dirt. It was an arrow with a small amount of purple liquid dripping from the tip.

"ARCHERS!"

I ran forward in the direction the arrow had come from Avan standing with Chaaya.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Wyvern wing" '

I was pushed up into the air flying high up into the trees. In front of me was a man with long ears and white hair, his eyes were black and his skin was grey. It was a dark elf, I didn't think I'd find those here. Aren't they usually civilised? he drew a small knife from his back slashing at the space in front of me. Then jumping back he swung around the branch, his legs still wrapped around the wood. Then as he swung around he pulled back his bow shooting an arrow into my back. I managed to thrust my sword through his face black blood oozing from his face. Then dropping back down to the ground I pulled the arrow from my back. I managed to get back to the rest but my movements were sluggish. It knocked about one hundred health points from me. We walked through the forest, the mud and dead leaves crunching under our feet. I heard a rustling from behind me and a dark elf lunged from the shrubbery. His body was low and he was holding a dagger pointed at Chaaya. I moved to stop it but I was too slow and I couldn't move fast enough. It was like being stuck in comparison to the elfs speed. It rushed past me it's dagger gleaming like an animal waiting for its feast. I could only watch as it honed in on its target. Horror spreading through my body, fear covering every cell in my body. Until the dagger stopped in its tracks. Blood rolled down dropping to the floor. The blade coated in a thick black liquid rolling down the spear. Avon was skewering the dark elf. Thank god. How could I be that slow? Was it the poison. I need to get a cure from the shop. But before I could cure myself four more assassins jumped from the bushes. Their tongues dropped from their open mouths as saliva dripped onto their blades.

'Alert: Master Chaaya used skill - "Boost" '

I jumped forward stabbing the first in the chest before it could get low but the elf beside him ran past me towards Chaaya who stood helplessly in the middle. Avons spear pulled back smashing into the elfs face pushing him back to be hit by my sword. I rushed to the side of avon.

'Alert: Skill activated - "Lightning rush" '

I was in front of Avon, blood washing over him. His spear was being pushed back by one of the elves who forced it down and rushed to Avon, the elf's dagger pressing into his body. But it did nothing; the blade only slid off of his blue plated armour as Avon slammed the shaft of his spear into the elf's chin knocking him back then implaling him on his spear. This place was filled with assassins. Archers could be posted anywhere. This place was more dangerous than the other dungeons. The monsters here were better evolved, smarter. We needed to find the bossroom and get out of here, maybe I wasn't ready for this. No, that was wrong. I can never get stronger if I dont move on. I need to take risks. I need to climb the mountain to sit on the top. I was wrong this isn't a game, there isn't a divine object that will magically solve all my problems. I need to work hard and then and only then will I be able to rise.

We started moving again, into the trap of assassins and archers, into the den of silent killers.
