true awakening

Erin had a theory based on his knowledge and unnaturally high intelligence points that were above the norm. he had come to the conclusion after finding a few things out. he knew that the average stats of a newly awakened were between the range of 5 and 15 and his exceeded that. the only likely explanation was because of the knowledge that had suddenly popped into his head one day. he also did not understand it since his mana should have been higher since his intelligence was so much so. he opened his stats box once again and decided to test out what this could mean. after gauging his stats once more, he sighed.

'send all remaining stat points to intelligence'

A ding sound resonated in his head and a throbbing sense of pain built up in it. He felt his head beginning to split apart and melt away. his body responded to the pain by shaking almost uncontrollably and foam built up in his mouth. He slid Emma's head of his lap before standing up to head into the washroom. He futilely tried to walk there but his steps were shaky, nearly tripping several times. before he got to the door that led to the washroom, he collapsed. falling face first on the tiled floor.

He awoke just a couple seconds later with a renewed, clear sense of mind and the feeling that anything was possible. he stood up, questioning what had just happened but the answer came just as quickly.

Erin's eyes fluttered in amazement. just because he had added two stat points to intelligence he had gained this much. he was shell shocked and tempted to send all the remaining stat points to intelligence but he stopped himself.

'the system said that I was only rewarded because I found part of the truth of the system broker. was it because I added the two stat points after finding out that my int. was related to the knowledge.'

several questions had begun to pop up but he shut them down in order to keep on analyzing the rest of the information in front of him. most of the things he had never seen before. skill points was expected to appear the moment a skill did and so he was accepting of that answer. the leveler attribute was simply the broker system having stages. everything else was somewhat expected as he had 'gained a true awakening'. which most people would process as a second awakening. an instance were an individual would re-awaken with higher stats or in some cases, a job class change. the question mark zone pissed him off a bit since the system placed a skill which he would not discover until some 'hidden requirements' were met.

' tch! '

Erin walked back to the hall checking if her sister was awake or not. luckily, she was sleeping soundly even though he had a fairly loud tumble earlier. he took a left toward the door in the fairly sized room and sneakily stepped out. the warm breeze of the afternoon swept over him, blowing gently his purple stripped black hair. he had a better chance now to appreciate how much his body had changed. it felt like the wind but it was studier than before. his perception of his surroundings had also gotten much better. his pale purple eyes slightly shimmered in the light. a trait he got from his bastard father. he shook his head defiantly, he was not going to think of anything that distracted him right now.

He sized the front yard. it was standard lawn filled with grass with the only walking space, a flat stone path that stretched from the fenced gate to the small sized patio that he stood on. the fence around his neighbors house was tall enough that he would not be seen even if he jumped regularly. he took a breath as he bent his knees and stretched his arms back.

' lets test my new abilities out'

he widened his eyes and with a single silent leap, shot through from the patio to past half way to the fence gate. he landed improperly on the stone path and ended up tumbling his way onto the grassy floor. he rolled on the grass, laughing as he gave himself an metaphorical pat on the back. Since awakening, he had barely felt what it meant to do so. the feeling of accomplishment when you achieved something you thought originally impossible or when you place stat points into your abilities and become far stronger than before.

'hah, this is the feeling' he told himself with euphoria rushing through him, still feeling the sensation in his balls when he was in the air. He kicked himself up and walked to one end of the fence before turning to face the other. He began to jump in short distances in quick progression all the way to the other side. A swishing sound could be heard as he made his short leaps. He repeated it several times in hopes of developing the common skill, dash but it was all to no avail. He only ended up drenched in sweat under the scorching sun and using up all his stamina and mana. mana helped one regulate his or her energy in order to amplify the strength of ones attack and or cast spells.

Due to him not achieving the skill, which was meant to reduce mana loss, he ended up almost instantly using up all his mana. the recovery rate was insanely slow at one point per hour and so it would be useless to continue. he was only disappointed as he had expected this to happen. in a case study that he had read before, the leveling up and acquisition of a skill varied from one person to another. some would just do a few quick runs and gain the skill or even level up while others would try excessively and not even gain the said skill. Erin shuddered, thinking about whether he fit into the later category. he brushed it of before stepping inside.

Having other things to think about. he had to make time to buy a weapon and go to the testing ground. he had to drop out of school but he debated as to whether to inform his mother or not. the fees were quiet expensive and although it seemed that they were financially okay it could never be ever farther from the truth. she was behind mortgage and he and Emma's school fees. Erin did not want to involve her in his new life yet. not until he had accounted for any and every consequence. giving her the money he had earned from his website would also grow suspicion since he had no way of acquiring money. his overjoyed expression had turned stale.

'this... is a real dilemma'
