Chapter 1

" Honey, why won't our daughter wake up? The doctors said that she would be fine! It's been almost three weeks!" I hear a gruff voice beside me, making my ears tingle. What was that? Who is that talking to? Didn't I just die? Maybe it's just a dream that I am having.

"Dear, we just have to be patient. I promise our little girl will wake up soon. "This voice was sweet, but it had a hint of sadness.

" I knew I shouldn't have pushed her this hard. Because of me, she got hurt." I feel a ruff hand grab mine, his thumb rolls over the top of the skin of it. The feeling of something wet drops on it. Tears? This man is crying for me? Perhaps, these people are my parents? What is going on?

" Do not blame yourself, it was an accident. Our little girl knows that. Come, let her rest some more and we can check on her after dinner." Something soft touches my forehead and whispers of I love you in my ear. After a few minutes, I hear the door close and I'm surrounded by silence.

This has to be a dream right? I can't even move any part of my body.

" That's because I'm still debating when I should let you go." a quiet voice appears, making my body shiver in fear. Wait, this voice is what I heard at my end!

' Who are you?' My mouth is not able to speak but I know he can hear me. A laugh appears on the right side of me, A cold solid object runs down my cheek. Making a shiver run down my spine.

" The God you thanked a few minutes ago. " What did he say? I have to be dreaming. Am I talking to a god? " Yes, you are. Stop asking so many questions and let me think." The annoyance in his voice makes me want to laugh. I'm not even alive and I'm annoying people, not just anyone but a god for that matter.

" Hmmm, To be honest, I'm not even supposed to be bringing you alive. I just want to piss off a few of my siblings. " A soft hum comes to the other side of my ear. Too scared to say anything and sit and wait. Even if this is just a dream I would never disrespect a god. " If I made you human, they would kill you instantly. But, if I make you a part of me, they won't even lay a finger on you."

' Wait! ' I yell out. Not even fully alive yet and have a headache. ' Merciful God, why are you giving me a second chance? Do I even deserve to hold such great power, my lord?' He stays quiet for a while and I then feel a hand on my forehead.

" I may be a god of death. But I too, give second chances. You dear are more than enough to hold my power. No one will ever harm you again. " He pauses and I feel his hand move to mine and kiss it softly.

" It may not make sense now, but you will understand soon. Until we meet again, my daughter."

With those words I gasp awake, my chest moving fast. My eyes search the room for him but there is no one to be found. A bright light appears in my eyes, telling me to wake. I sit up hastily with no pain in my body. I look down at my hands and watch them move with life. My fingers move to my neck and feel a pulse.

" I'm alive." I sit there shocked and take deep breaths. 'No reason to freak out, the god told me it will be ok. It seems like he put me in a good position...I hope. And what did he mean by daughter? ' My body moves on its own accord. The feeling of soft fur hit my feet. My toes curl into it, making me smile. " I'm alive!" I yell out, tears flow down my cheek and I can't help but have the biggest smile on my face. I stand up and walk to a huge mirror.

Blue eyes look back at me. My eyes widen and I take a step closer to the mirror. " This is me?" I touch my face in shock. " I look like the main character of a book." Everything is sculpted perfectly. I run my hand through my hair. " I have never seen natural blue hair... It's gorgeous on her. " I step away and look around the room. " This room was the size of my old house... this is like a castle."

I reach for the doorknob but stop when I see someone else opening the door. I hear a shatter of glass, making me jump back. Looking up I see a crying maid. I don't even know what to say and I just stand there awkwardly.

" My lady! You're awake! My lord! My Lady! " I hear her runoff, making me just stand there in shock. ' Do I go with her?' I move around the broken glass and into a big hallway. ' Yep, a castle.' I hear multiple footsteps run towards me. I turn to see a man and a lady, the man has my hair color and the mother my eyes. I just stand there and let them embrace me.

" My baby! " I hear the lady cry and hold me tight. ' This has to be my mother. I slowly move my arms around her and embrace her. I see the man look at me with... I do not know. His expression is gone but I see him walk towards me and pick me up making my eyes widen as he hugs me to death.

" Scarlett, my lovely little girl. Oh, how I'm so happy to see your face full of life again. " He pulls back, seeing tears cover his cheeks. ' These people have no idea, Just act as you know them. Don't want them to think I have amnesia.'

I pull back from him and move my small hands to his face, wiping away the tears. " Daddy and Momma, do not cry! I am awake now! Wipe away those tears and let's enjoy a meal together!" Everyone around me looked shocked. I hold my smile, thinking that maybe I messed up badly.

" My daughter, you are right. Let's enjoy a meal together! I will call your brothers and tell them the good news! We will have a grand celebration for my little girl! " He puts me on his shoulders and walks off with me. I can't help but smile, never having this in my past life. I can already tell that this life is going to be the best one. But something is bothering me. What made this girl's body get into a coma? What did that god mean? What kind of world am I in now? Hopefully, what my new mother said was true. That the accident was an accident.
