"My head hurts, and I won't even be able to concentrate in my classes for God's sake!" I cursed out loud enough for my whole family to look at me as if I've grown two heads. I don't really blame them though.
At this, my younger sister snorted, "That's what you get for staying up late and reading those trashy web novels instead."
"Why don't you shut your mouth and eat your breakfast," I snapped at her.
"She isn't saying anything wrong now, is she?" My mom shot back.
All of us were silenced by her flaming gaze.
Mum won't take kindly to being messed with when she's angry unless you're planning your own death.

"Have a good day kids!" Our professor finally ended our last class of the day.
"Geez...I wasn't able to remember even a single word she said. It was like I was stuck in a freaking limbo!" I groaned tiredly.
"Well that's what you get for not maintaining a proper sleep schedule, and reading these web novels instead," my best friend – Rhyna retorted while dragging me up.
"You are speaking my mother's words now," I said.
"Am I wrong though?" she rebutted.
"Oh... how I'm disheartened that you speak nothing but the absolute truth," I dramatically sighed, which of course, made Rhyna break out in laughter.
"Looks like all these historical romance novels are finally getting to your head," Rhyna said as we made our way to our hangout place – a coffee shop.
"You bet it did," I giggled at my own words.
"So, what web novel you were that kept you up late?" Rhyna asked while placing my favorite drink in front of me.
"It was that fantasy romance one – the one that you recommended – The Rose of Eden's garden academy," I answered while taking a large gulp of the caffeinated drink.
"Really?" Rhyna's eyes widened in surprise at my words. I don't blame her though. "But I thought that you absolutely hated it?"
"I do. I still very much despise the cliché approach by the author," I answered without missing a beat.
She made a weird face after hearing this."Then why did you stuck till the end?"
"Because I can," I simply answered. "And I'm a masochist!" I cheekily added.
"As expected from you," she sighed tiredly at my antics. To be honest, sometimes even I'm annoyed with myself. I don't know how I tolerate myself every day.
Our attention was averted from our conversation when both of our phones lit up with a notification at the same time. It was an update from the author of the novel that I was reading last night.
"It's an announcement from the author," Rhyna breathed out. Her obsession with the novel was quite evident. It's not like I was any different though.
"Yeah, I can see that. The question is why?" I let out in a perplexed manner. "I thought the story was over."
"Let's read it first," Rhyna suggested and I couldn't agree more with her statement.
It was something like this.
My dear readers, as you all know that I had just published the last chapter yesterday. After going through the majority of your comments and messages, I've realized that you guys are not satisfied with how the novel has ended, and to be honest, to some extent – even I am unsatisfied with the way I've decided to end the story.
Therefore, to redeem my mistakes, I've decided to completely rewrite or change the ending, and for doing that I have decided to tale suggestions from you readers. So, inbox me your ideas. Until next time.
"So, the author wants our views," Rhyna started, "are you going to message them your suggestions?"
"Hell yeah, I would!" I answered without skipping a beat, and immediately went on to type a message for the author.
Unfortunately, as if the whole universe is against me sending my ideas to the author, being at that exact moment my talking device decided to give up on me and die in my hands. I should've brought my charger with me. Fuck my life! Stupid Amel! Always making stupid decisions.
"Rhyna, do you have a charger with you?" I asked her who only shook her head in denial.
"You can just text them after you get home," she suggested, making me sigh tiredly.
I frowned at her words. "I can't do that. It will be too late by then," I said while gathering my things as I got ready to leave.
I need to leave now if I want my idea to get noticed by the author.
"I'll see you tomorrow," I quickly bid her farewell before exiting the coffee shop.
I was humming a song while walking down the pavement. My attention was brought out of whatever trance I was in when I heard a panicked scream. I quickly whipped my head in the direction of the noise, and to my utter horror – saw a young man, who appeared to be around my age, standing in the middle of the road with a dazed look while a speeding truck was moving towards him
From the way the truck was swiveling from side to side – it seems that the driver must have lost control of the vehicle.
Everyone else present there was doing nothing but witness the scene with conflicting emotions. What was I doing? I was doing the same thing to do – just watching the man in horror.
I don't know how it happened, but out of nowhere, I suddenly found my body moving towards the man while everyone else just shouted at my stop. I was unable to comprehend what anyone else was saying as my ears only picked up the sound of the screeching tires and the cries of various people, and perhaps my own heartbeat.
All of it happened in a blink of an eye. I reached the person before the truck could, and pushed him out of the way, and got hit by the truck instead.
I never thought that this would be this painful, it was excruciating. As I was lying on the pool of my own blood, with my consciousness slowly slipping away – I realized the gravity of the situation.
I am going to die, that's the ultimate truth.
I can't believe that I'm dying at the hands of truck-kun.
I just hope that I get reincarnate with superpowers or something.
