Chapter 107: Start writing research paper

"So pretty." She proudly praise her own work and return to clean up the workshop a bit.
'No matter how I think about it. I think I need to level up my carpentry skills. Don't you think so TongTong? I only have this much time. If my skills is better than a master, I can finished the work faster and they will also looks more refined.' She thought.
'Upgrade?' TongTong ask. Every time its Host ask its opinion like this, it is usually already decided on her heart.
'En, upgrade.' She said.

'When you start working, you will know, Host.' TongTong said. Bai Yi Yang nod and head to the kitchen.
Today dinner will be sautéed cabbage and peeled shrimp, orange chicken and lastly is a simple fishball soup. She first peel the shrimp and cut the cabbage. It is very simple, just fried it with lard until cooked. After that she make the simple fishball soup, it wasn't that kind of homemade fishballs, it was the kind that she bought from supermarket. Hehe. She giggled, what a cheat.
For the orange chicken, she first make the batter and cut the chicken breast, coat it before deep frying it. After that, she prepared the orange sauce which orange juice and zest is one of the ingredient. When it thickens, she add the deep fried crispy chicken and it's done.

When she serve the last dish, the siblings is already seated on the dinner table. They are not really hungry except for Bai Yi Mo who didn't eat any steamed bun but they still finished the meal.
Bai Yi Yang also didn't make much today, she knows that her siblings had many food today. She just don't want them to have the habit of skipping meal, no matter what, they need to have 3 meals a day.
They finished dinner before 7.30 pm. The younger siblings went to take a bath, Bai Yi Chen clean the kitchen and she prepare for tomorrow.
"What do you want to eat tomorrow morning?" She asked Bai Yi Chen.
"Fried rice?" Bai Yi Chen answer. It has been a while since they had fried rice.
"Okay." Bai Yi Yang agree. She cut the vegetables and other ingredients and it was done in no time.
After that she returns to the Main house to take a shower. Only after that she check out her laptop that arrived last Friday.
They are quite pretty, she sat on the table and connect it with her phone wifi. She set up what's needed to be downloaded, it was quite slow because she is only using her phone for connection. So, she sat down and do her homework while doing so. Their schedule on Friday was lax, there weren't much homework so she finished it in no time,
Bai Yi Chen also finished cleaning up fast and watch her use her laptop. When he doesn't understand something, he will ask and Bai Yi Yang will show her. The two children was interested at first but seeing their brother and sister doing something boring, they give up and read story book instead.
'TongTong, I cannot access that certain platform, you help me download these journals and send it to my email. Oh and some antivirus for my laptop too, I can't wait that long for the download.' She said.
TongTong stop licking it's paw and get to work. The Host is blocked but who can blocked the system? It easily obtained those full articles and sent it to her email. It also set up an antivirus to the Host's laptop.
'Done.' TongTong said proudly.
'Good cat!' Bai Yi Yang praise.
"TongTong?" Bai Yi Chen saw the sender name and look at TongTong who is sleeping.
"Hahaha..Sir Austin is so funny. His alternate name is TongTong.." Bai Yi Yang laugh awkwardly.
'Oopss..' TongTong giggles.
After receiving all the journals, Bai Yi Yang download it and send it to their research chat group.
"Where did you get this exclusive content?" Sir Austin type in the chat. Even him don't have access to some of these.
"I have my way. See you tomorrow Sir." Bai Yi Yang reply before exiting the chat. She don't want to be asked or to answer.
After showing Bai Yi Chen a bit of the laptop, she start seriously doing her job. She is used to the laptop but this hand doesn't so she cannot type as fast as before, but in Bai Yi Chen eyes, she is already fast enough.
She start by making a cover page, it is simple, she just need to include their research paper title and also names of everyone that is involved.
Next part is the abstract, many people find this part challenging, its an important part of the research to engage people to read the research further. She only need to write about 150-200 words summary of the research that is precise and concise. After writing most of the information that she have now, she leaves a space to add the research outcome later on when they are done with the experiments.
Next is the table of contents which is so easy she finished it no more than 10 minutes. For now, she just list down the one in their plans. Just in case they remove some of it, she will also adjust it later.
Then comes the introduction, which is also an important part of any research paper. She first write the historical background of the topics for better understanding for general audience. She then elaborate about the topic, give the research statement and answer the research question. She also need to explain the importance of the subject matter for the audience and reader. Just like writing the abstract, introduction must also be interesting and engaging.
And, she stops at that.
She promised to finish until Introduction and prove her worth to the team. This is enough for now.
She is not irresponsible, she knows her team has concerns about this research, two people is in their senior year, what more this is their last semester. If this research is successful, then it can boost their worth by a lot, but if it fails, they just waste their 2-3 months time which they can use to study instead.
That's why Bai Yi Yang didn't blame Wang Yi Lin at all. If before she have a very slight dislike towards her, its totally erased now.
She actually think it over, what if she is in her position and feeling desperate, then suddenly an unknown girl who is two years younger than her who doesn't have prominent achievements before suddenly become responsible for an important matter. She will also flip the table. So, she concluded that her reaction is just normal, it is herself who should show her worth to them.
She then take the 4 USB Flash drive Pen that she is going to gift to Sir Austin and her research team members. This flash drive is a ball pen, but it also a flash drive at the same time. She bought each of it for 99 yuan on discount , the one for Sir Austin is more expensive, it cost 150 yuan. She also named each of the USB with their initials. It was a free service so she just agree with it.
She insert the USB one by one and transfer all the example of research papers, and also their own that only up to Introduction.
After that she switched of the laptop and get ready to sleep. She is a bit late than usual today, she only enter the bedroom at 10.07 pm. By this time, her siblings had fall asleep too. She said goodnight to TongTong and falls asleep right away.
