Chapter 24: My Kid Brother.

If a person was watching Haruto's room from above, they would see him twitching with his fingers scrunching as well.

Haruto's body instantly shot up and looked around. He folded his wing back and took back his arm too. His eye went back to normal and now he looked like the real Haruto.

▪︎I forgot how useful Shapeshifting was.▪︎

He got up from the bed and looked around the room. ▪I never...▪︎ His mouth started moving around. "Had a room before." His voice was now that of Haruto's. "Mommy was too poor to afford one, so we had to sleep outside in the trash.." He reminded himself of a past he didn't want to remember.

"Master. Are you asleep?" A voice sounded out from the door, causing Haruto to look at it. "Oh, yes. I'm awake.." Haruto then walked over to the door and opened it. A figure with deep purple long hair and purple eyes to match was then seen starring at him.

'Damn it. Haruto is too lucky..' He sighed at himself. 'I may be a kid, but...But...' His face was turning red at his own thoughts. "Master? What's wrong?" She tilted her had at me.

"Nothing? Why do you ask?" I questioned her, tilting my head in a confused manner.

"Listen Master.." She invited herself in and closed the door behind her. "I know that you've been trying to mask your magic, so I wouldn't know that you stay awake each night."

She figured you out like that. That's kind of funny. "Can you please tell me why? It's bad for your health, and..." She seemed deeply concerned for him. 'Wait. She's a dark dragon too right?

I wonder what made her become like this. In his memories, they fought and he did win. But I would have expected her to betray him or something later on.'

"You see.." Don't worry big bro. I'll help you out with your lady problems. "If I go to sleep, then that monster will take over again. I...I can't put you guys in harm like that." I reached for her face to seal the deal.

"Oh, shut up."

She hit my hand away, with my face becoming that of surprisment. "I felt Haruto's magic drop for a split second before coming back on. Also, your magic is way passed Haruto's." She figured me out?! Damn it!

"Okay.." I backed up a bit. "You got me.." The Black Emperor then walked over to the bed and sat down. "I wouldn't mention that you know about his situation to him. He 'Will' try to leave." He then put his head down, and it slowly rose once more.

"Mmmmm..." Haruto groaned out with a satisfied smile. 'I haven't slept like that in a while..' In that plain of nothingness, I was at peace. Although, it did feel like I was missing something. I couldn't figure it out though, as I woke up.

"Master." I looked over and saw Ryoko. "R-Ryoko?!" I was surprised she was there. "What...Are you doing here?" I tried composing myself.

"I was checking on Master when I found him sleeping, sitting up. I found it quiet funny.." She smiled at me and I slowly smiled as well. 'Oh, I see..' I then made chains and quicky wrapped her in them.

I pulled her closer to me, undoing the chains in the process and held her. "You know.." She was sitting on me with her hands on my shoulders. "We have a whole week without Mother here. That means we can..."

She instantly understood, by kissing me on the lips. "Let's finally enjoy ourselves.." We both then fell back into the covers with smiles on our faces.

'▪︎Big brother is finally doing something! Good job virgin!▪︎'

I pushed his thought away and noise sounded out deep into the night.

'I'm missing a few skills, but I guess I do have a lot..'

I looked over my status screen, which was displaying some of my power. 'A lot has changed though huh?' Over the past week, I've been grinding my skills out. I've been doing that because I'm going to the Forbidden continent today.

You never know what you might encounter, so I prepared just in case. "Big brother!" I looked down at the small boy who was holding my hand. He had black hair and his eyes were grey. He seemed feminine though with his long eye lashes and womanly like face structure, including lips that had detail, a blush that never left his face, and thin eye brows, followed bye a small nose.

"I can't wait!" This was of course the Dark Emperor. "Me too. It should be fun." So I summon him as a dragon, and he shapeshifts into what appears to be a human. He can only do this for a limited time however, as it puts a lot of strain on me.

"So that's your little brother?" Caroline walked over to me, hand on her hips. "Yep! Isn't he the cutest!" I pinched his small little cheeks, making him giggle. "Why has he never appeared before?" That's a good question actually.

"T-Thats none of your business!" He stuck his tounge out her while hiding behind my leg. "Smh. I wasn't talking to you commoner boy. I was speaking to my slave." She emitted her aura at him, making him shake in 'Fear'.

"Big brother~..." Tears came into the corner of his eye. "S-Shes mean to me..." He held his face while crying. 'Your really into this role play aren't you?' I sighed out and picked him up. "Its okay...." I played in his soft, short hair. He had small ears as well which hid themselves.

Me, Caroline, Reina, and a few other people were standing by the back gate. It was located behind the castle and used as 'Secret Passage' way in case something bad happens. Its hidden by an illusion spell which is casted by people from underground.

"Sir!" Reina came up to me and kneeled. "Preparations are complete. We can set out whenever you give the command!" I slightly nodded and looked to my left. I looked at the carages, full of food, wood, and other supply's.

"Okay. We set out in 5."

"As you command!"

She nodded and kneeled back up. She then turned around and left. "Your brothers a great leader isn't he?" He happily nodded with a smile.

"Your leadership is mediocre at most." She crossed her arms and looked away. "Your too nice to them. You need to speak with power!" She told me with a commanding tone. "I see your point, but I don't need to act like that all the time do I?"

I'll of course be commanding if a war or something broke out, but for now, I'll talk to them in a regular manner. "You'll soon find out why you should always speak in an opposing tone.."

She walked away, leaving me to sigh. "Let's go Larius." Larius was of course the Dark Emperor. He had another name that I vaguely remember him telling me, but I couldn't say it.

Like I actually couldn't say it. 'Only those on my level can say it' is what he told me. "Alright! Let's go big bro!" I nodded and I walked over to a carrage that was in the front. A knight handed me a clipboard and I started walking down to the other carriages.

"Wood, Check. Food, Check. Tools, Check..." I kept going down the sides of the carages. I know she told me that everything was secured, but I still need to make sure. "So? Which one do you want to ride in?" I asked him and he went into thought.

"The middle!" He cheered out and I nodded. "Alright then." I walked to the middle and opened the coach door. The whole carrage was white on the outside with gold lines throughout it. The insides were only light blue.

"You sit right here.." I sat him down. "And I'll be right back. I gotta tell everyone that we're heading out now." He slightly nodded while playing with his fingers. I then closed the door behind me and put my hands to the side of my mouth.

They were vertically on my face.

"Everyone! Get your asses on now! We're leaving!" I yelled out then opened the door back up. "Okay. I'm finished." I walked in a bit and sat on the opposite side of him. The coach then began shaking and we started moving.

"Sir! May I have a word?" I heard Reinas voice from outside. "Sure. Come in." I then scooted over and opened the door. I saw her on a horse. "Thank you for your time." She then slid off her horse and came inside. 'Cool...' She closed the door behind herself and sat down.

"May I?" She pointed at herself. "Yes, you may." She nodded and took her helmet off. She then moved her hair around a bit, with the wind that came out of no where, making her seem more appealing.

"So? What is it?" She looked over at me. "I need to stay with the commander to defend him in case of an emergency!" I wasn't really surprised by this. In my past life, I had people who followed me around when I went out on my own.

'Wish they were in the office that day..' I sighed in my head and smiled. "Thank you Ms. Reina." I nodded at her and she nodded back. "Please dont speak so formally with me." She said it in the most respectful tone ever. "S-Sure..." I guess it was a reasonable request.

As I was thinking that, the carrage stopped. "Hm? We aren't even out the city yet right?" Reina then got on guard, put her helmet on, and opened the door, slowing peeping out in the process.

"Oh. I see." She sat back down and rested her sword down. Her sword was different from the other knights. The one she had was pink with a touch of black while they just had the plain grey swords. "Haruto dear? Are you really leaving with out saying goodbye to your mother?"

My lip slowly curled at the familiar voice. Mother then stepped in and sat down next to Larius. "Hey mom. I...Didn't know you were going to come see me like this." I rubbed the back of my head while laughing.

"Jeez... Of course I'd be here to see my son off!" She slightly raised her voice with a tone of anger, yet happiness. "Oh, Hartuo.." She leaned forward and cupped my face. "I feel like I say this every day, but your really growing up on me.."

I smiled at her words. "Don't worry okay mom? Your son may be growing up, but that doesn't mean he's changed. I'm still your same baby boy from before.." Mother heard this and smiled. "Haruto. Your going to be something big in the future. You know that?"

I slowly nodded. 'Am I? I'm going down a path of darkness. Those futures aren't always good..'

"Your doing good yourself right mom? Rank C right?" She was already Rank C which was considered kind of rare for 'Humans'. "Yep! And when you come back, I'll be even higher in rank!" She cheered out at me. "Yeah.."

When am I coming back exactly? I have enough supplies to last me a year, but by then, I wont even need to come back. I'll definitely be more successful than this kingdom in the near future.

"Your sister is at school right now. She's becoming stronger and stronger each day.." She sighed out a bit. "She says she'll miss you very much, but she knows that this is important to you." I nodded and looked up with a smile. 'She used to always be attached to me, but I guess it's time for her to start her own journey..'

I'm glad actually. I thought it would be like one of those average isekai with his harem following him wherever he goes. But in this isekai, people have their own lives to live.

"Tell her that I'll miss her okay? And make sure she stays in school." Mother nodded with a cheerful smile. "Well, let me get going." She got up with a sigh. "Larius dear. Take care of your older brother for me okay?" I told Mother that I found him on the streets, and she happily accepted him.

"Y-Yes.." He became very interested in my mothers charm. He never pursues her however as he has respect. Mother then played in his hair a bit and opened the door. "I love you both okay? Stay safe. You have a B tier adventurer group guarding you, so I'm not that worried."

We hired a group of B tier adventurers to accompany us. Uh 'Tier' group is a group of mages, or adventurers, who are made up of a certain rank. If 3 people in one group are D tier with one person being C, it would be considered a D tier group.

I don't really like the system, as its could be confusing, so I'll definitely change it over on my side. "Bye Mother. I love you too." I gave her one last smile as she left and closed the door. After a couple of seconds, the carrage sped back up, started the sign of our Journey.

"Mother is very beautiful."

"Yeah, she is."
