Chapter 27: Who's In Charge Again?

Reina reached for a small box on the side of the wall. She then opened the black box and a piece of paper was present. It was similar to a talisman to put it simply.

"Is that a communication device?" We have communication devices in the capital, but none of them look like that. "Yes. We put a message into it, using our magic, and then it disappears, going to every other carrage. All the carrages are marked by a stamp before we leave. That mark let's the carrages become one, so passing a message along would be easier then getting out."

She gave me the explanation of the talisman and I slowly nodded. 'This is...This is way more advanced then the ones we have in the capital...' That being said, I don't know if it is better overall. Maybe I could change a few things to erase that doubt.

Reina then closed her eyes. After a couple of seconds, the talisman glowed rose pink, signifying that the process was working.

Reina has no magic attribute. That being said, she can still utilize magic. She can form a simple layer of magic around herself, or even strengthen her body. A magic attribute is of course one of the elements.

People without one can't fully utilize magic in the way that normal people can. She can't use attack spells, defense spells, anything like that basically. Though like I said before, she could easily make the magic flow around herself, strengthening and defending herself.

All beings can utilize magic even if they don't have an attribute. People also have different magic gauges. If 1000 means your loved my magic, then I'd say that royals are close to about 800. Anything less then that means that you arent as loved by magic.

After a couple of seconds, the talisman disappeared into white particles. "I've informed each carrage that we're going off course and to a different location. No one had a problem with that except one person."

I held my face with a slight sly. As I did that, a small glow went off and a hologram of a person appeared. "Bastard! What the hell do you think your doing?! This isn't apart of the plan!" She screamed at me.

"Reina. Inform the leading carrage to go here.." I pulled out a small map and she took it. The location that we were to head to would be a couple of arches behind the dome. The dome was massive and casted a huge shadow behind it. That shadow would give us enough heat/cold ratio to survive.

"Genius.." I guess she understood as she opened the black box up once again and another talisman was present. Completely ignoring Caroline, she sent a message to the first careage and told them where to go.

The other carages would follow as well so there was no need to tell them. "This isn't over." She then disappeared, leaving us to sigh. "I'll take the blame. Don't worry." That was all I said before slowing my breathe down. I blinked a few times and my vision went blank, meaning that I went to sleep.

Reina could only stare at the scene in front of her. 'He rarely sleeps..' She noticed how in the past two weeks, Haruto only fell asleep twice. 'I wonder why...' She then closed her eyes and her breathe became slow.

'I wonder..'

....

In a huge tower, there was a woman sitting on a giant, golden bed. She wore elegant clothing, and had on jewelry around her neck and arms. She had eyes, void of life, and an apathetic face.

"Lady Jura."

Someone knocked on the door of her room which was entirely made up of gold.

"We have word that humans are traveling throughout the Forbidden continent."

She didn't answer the voice. Instead she put her hands together and closed her eyes. The gold from her roof then started raining down upon her entire room.

After a couple of seconds, the floor of her room was covered in gold. There were small golden structures withing the gold, including a small dome. "I see..." Her voice was low and tired.

As she stared at the gold, she saw 7 carages being pulled by camels. "There back.." The gold then went to the corners of her room and it all became gold once more. "My lady. What should we do?"

She kept starring at the floor.

"Nothing. Theres a dragon among them, and its dangerous..." A noise came from outside the door after she said that. "Y-Yes, my lady." Footsteps slowly started fading away from the door.

"His eyes...are pretty.."

....

We went around the dome, while keeping our distance, and arrived in the area I mapped. There was a huge pond in the middle with trees planted around.

"We really get the perfect amount of light..." It wasn't too hot and it wasnt too cold. "Slave!" The door flung opened and the beast pointed at me. "What the hell do you think your doing?! This isn't the place!" Reina was about to speak out, but I stopped her.

"Caroline. What are we?" Hearing this, she made a confused face. "What..are we? Slave and Master. Nothing more and nothing less." What she said was true, but she forgot one relationship.

"Commander and Assistant."

She forgets that anything involved with this project is under my command. "My commander huh?" She had her head down and her voice was low. "That doesn't give you the right to change the entire plan." She was bawling her fist for an odd reason.

"Yes, it does. I could relieve you of duty and send you back home if I liked. I could invade that city over there if I liked. What I say, goes. Do you understand that?" Hearing this, Caroline started gritting her teeth.

'Damn it..' Caroline stared at the man in front of her. 'I didn't really expect him to use his authority like this.' Caroline thought of Haruto as nothing more, but a powerless commoner. She never expected him to step up like that.

"Fine." She sounded resolute. "But I will send a letter to my Father. I must do that." Hearing this, an idea came to my head, making me smile.

"I already told your father."

I lied.

'Hm? He did? He must be lying. He never even comes near the castle. I highly doubt that he would to see my father.'

"Look. Here's proof." I pulled out a paper from my back pocket. She immediately snatches it out my hand and read: I, Ralph Cambridge, have given Haruto permission to do what he likes. There is no need to inform me of his progress, as he reviewed everything with me and the council. Please, dont be too hard on him.

Sincerely, your Father.(End)

Reading this, her hands were shaking. 'Its real. Even the small dot that he always leaves in the corner of the paper is there..' Caroline then threw the paper back at me.

"Fine. Atleast tell me of your plans." She seemed defeated now. "Okay.." I then moved passed her with the sleeping Larius in my arms, followed by Reina. Caroline then followed behind and closed the door in the process.

"I want to build a kingdom." I raised my voice so everyone could hear. "I want to build a fair kingdom where any one can live. Goblins, Demons, Devils, Humans, Elves, Vampires, Dragons, etc."

I could see all their faces of fear. "Hey. You guys don't like races other then humans correct?" I started walking towards the pond.

"What if I was never human in the first place?"

....
