Chapter 36: Hidden Dungeon?

I walked through the rough winds very slowly.

'Damn. The wind is really strong at night. I can't even summon Arsenal too as my mental energy is too low right now..'

I kept walking against the wind. The sand also becomes thicker at night, making it very hard to move. 'And it's cold too. Everything at night is worse, but...atleast my power is amplified..'

It was tough to move, but yeah. My powers at night are amplified.

I kept walking for about 10 minutes before noticing that It was getting harder to see. 'Damn. Problem after fucking problem...'

"Wait. What's that?"

I saw a huge wall sitting in the middle of no where.

"Theres a door too. What...the hell is this?"

I got closer and closer to it. 'It..goes no where..' I looked passed the wall and saw that nothing was behind it. 'I've never heard of this before..'

I stood in front of the door while holding my head. 'Enough questions Haruto. Just go in..' I placed my hand on the knob and opened the door. There was nothing, but the same wind storm.

"Smh. Must be an abandoned building or something.."

I walked through it and felt my magic slighly spike.

'A dungeon?!'

When your magic spikes like that, you either entered a dungeon, or your on death's door.

The scene then changed to a long, white hallway. In the hallway, I saw close to around 100 doors. Each had a number and symbol on them too.

'I knew dungeons here were unique, but this is just...'

I started walking, looking at each and every single door. Each one had an animal on it.

"Door 1-10 is armadillos. 11-19 is coyotes.."

It went on like that.

"Level 90-100 is scropions.."

I was at the last door. 'I would go in there if I knew what kind of dungeon this was. Easy, medium, or even hard. What is it?...'

I then turned around and walked over to the first door. 'I guess I should take it slow for now. These monsters should help determine the level.'

I opened the door and closed it behind me. The room looked like the desert. The sun was beaming down too, giving it that real factor. 'This is really interesting....'

I started walking around in the rough sand. 'Is there anything here?..' I couldn't see any monster in sight which irritated me slightly, as I've been doing this for 5 minutes.

"Hm? I see now.."

I looked down at the ground and smiled. 'You guys burrow don't you? That's right. I watched nation geographics..' I then levitated into the sky.

"Pitiful bastards should have attacked when you had the chance.."

The ground then started shaking and a bunch of these small, black shell things came out the ground. 'Its a shame really..' I smiled as they came towards me from every angle.

About 100 swords then appeared next to me and shot at them, making a crunch noise as they came into contact with them.

[Armadillo x200 defeated: +6000]

I was amazed by the Xp I got. 'That much only from floor one? Fuck going home. I'm about to grind all night. Nah, not even that. I might stay in here for a couple of weeks.'

The body's of the Armadillos disappeared as they fell to the ground. 'No, not yet. I'll go back home after floor 10 and work some things out. Then I'll come back here.'

My body then twitched and I noticed that things slighly changed. 'Wait..' I looked over in the distance and saw a hill that wasnt there before. 'Do not tell me that I automatically get transported to the next level?!'

That can't be happening right?

Haruto think. Thays exactly what's happening. Accept it now.

Yeah, your right. This predicament isnt perfect, but it'll work out. I just need to tell Larius a couple of things, so the project can continue..

I put my hand up to my head and said

"Larius. Do you hear me?"

Not even a second later, he responded.

"Big brother! Where are you?..."

I could hear him getting teary.

"I'm in a dungeon and I can't get out. Well I can, but I need to finish it probably."

"Your...stuck in a dungeon?! Do you need my help bro?!"

"No, no. I just need you to get some messages across for me. Can you please do that?.."

He went silent for a moment.

"Yeah.."

His voice was low and seemed sad.

"I can do that.."

I sighed at that and told him what I need to tell.

"First, tell Caroline to send a message to the kingdom, asking for a good black smith, Ms. Amy, and Drax. When they finally arrive here, tell amy to use her metal magic and set pipes underneath the city. Then tell her and Jessica to go down under the small drawbridge with the scuba gear and use her purifying magic on the water and pipes. If Amy asks why she should go, then say for protection. After that, report the events of everything to me. Can you do that for me Larius?"

It took him a couple of seconds to answer, as he took all the information in.

"Okay. Is that all brother?"

I thought to myself then snapped.

"Oh, that's right! There a headband in my inventory with a black crown on it. That's our flag. Anyways, give that to Drax before he goes back and tell him to give it to Arthur."

The black crown was going to be our country's flag. The black crown signifies power to benefit all sentient beings.

"Okay. Is that all?"

"Yeah, that's pretty much it. Stay safe Larius."

"Okay. But is that really all?.."

Am I missing something? What else could I be missing?

"Uhm..."

I scratched my face slightly.

"Good...job on flattening the desert?"

I could feel his emotions rising when I said that.

"Thank you bro!"

Our connection then cut off, causing me to sigh. 'He really is a good dragon. I'll give him a head pat when I come home. If I come home that is.'

I then did what I did before and pulled them all out the ground. I cut them up with swords and repeated this for another 7 levels.

"Your a huge one arent you?"

I saw a giant armadillo that could rival a monster truck.

"With that shell, it'll take forever to try and cut through.."

An axe appeared in my hand.

"With a sword atleast.."

It hissed at me and shot its tail that could extend at me. This surprised me as they never had a chance to attack me on the previous floors. I would always kill them before it came to that.

"It is quite fast.."

I dodged the tail that had a sharp end.

"But not fast enough.."

I came down, swinging my Axe in the process, and connected with it's hard shell. The shell was easily penetrated and the huge armadillo was cut in half.

"God Damn it!"

Its blood got on my cloak.

"I just got this.."

I sighed while sitting down on the sand.

[King Dillo defeated: +15,000 Xp]

"I...just went from level 40 to level 61. That's insane.."

I hope this place is close to my kingdom. This would level up anyone at very fast rates.

I heard an enchanted voice and the scene changed. This time, the sand was flat like grass. 'It was...coyotes right?' I got up from the ground and looked around.

"There fast.."

I looked in the distance and saw a heard of about 10 of them charging at me. 'Lukily I took the dillos skills before the last level..' My body then started sinking into the ground. One coyote saw this and jumped at my head.

It missed however as I was already in the ground.

'This skill sucks. It so cramped I'm here..'

I feel that skills like this should only be used by that specific animal.

I then jumped out the ground and saw their tails in my face. I quickly unsheathed my sword and their body's feel limp to the ground.

"Your souls will now be in a better place. May you rest in peace.."

I prayed slighly and looked at the panel that appeared to my side.

[Coyote pack defeated: +1000Xp.]

'What?! I got less?! How the fffuck does that work?!'

I stared at the panel then went into thought. I thought about everything that could have made this happened. 'My sword? No, that's fair game. Is it because I did it too quickly so... No. That doesn't make sense Haruto. Maybe its because I went underground which disobeys this rooms zone. No, because I could have just been an earth mage.

What....could it be?'

As I was thinking that, I saw another pack of coyotes. They were 11 in numbers. 'Including this, I have 8 levels to experiment. I have to make it count.'

They sent sickles of wind at me using their paws. I however put my hand out and it was absorbed into my runes. Another one jumped over me and striked from the back.

*HMM?!*

Its limbs then came off as it didn't see the wire by its feet. 'Wire creation magic is useful...' It was sub skill to Weapon creation obviously. More tried attacking me, but their limbs only came off, leaving nothing's but their bodies and heads.

"Now. Let's wait for you all to die out.."

I sat down between them as the tried biting at me, only to get hit on the snout. They whimpered at that and stopped.

After about 10 minutes, I saw their limbs regrowing. 'Wait. Is that it? Do they-'

Their limbs fully regrow and they jumped at me. I quickly sliced at them all and saw the pannel.

[Coyote pack defeated: +1,500 Xp]

'I see. I must have missed this announcement. It was probably when I was talking with Larius. They get stronger and their value increases too. But these coyotes still don't give a lot. Well, that could be my high level. But that shouldn't stop how much Xp they give me...'

This dungeon was truly particular. I've never heard about this in all the dungeon books that I've read.

'So, after a certain amount of time, the monsters get stronger. I also get more Xp, or so I think I do..'

I went off this logic and waited. I waited for more than an hour on one floor to see what would happen and an army of coyotes appeared. I set myself up in a bubble of wire though so when they came into contact with it, they instantly died.

After I cleared all the floors for this specific monster, my level came to be 70.

'Damn bastards get stronger, but less Xp. That's absurd..' I sighed out then had another though.

'Maybe..' I looked at all the dead bodies on the ground.

'Maybe the amount of Xp is just random....'
