Chapter 35: Date With An Egyptian Goddess.(Pt2)

"Oh my. Is that the empress?"

"She looks so cute! I just wanna kiss her!"

"Wow. That dragon rider looks different too."

"I heard their on a date! How exciting!"

Jura and I walked down the street while holding hands. "This is...embarrassing.."

I smiled slighly at her words. Right now, we were heading towards the museum. I would be lying if I said that I didn't have ulterior motives.

"You can wear it only for today if you like. I..just wanted to show you your options.."

It would be sad to only see this once though. But...if shes embarrassed then I can't really force her to wear it.

"Are you...going to continue wearing that cloak?"

She asked me a question out of the blue.

"Yeah. Why?"

I like this cloak. Apparently, it can transform into that of a jacket type cloak where I could put my hands through the sleeves instead of hiding them behind the cloak.

"Then...I'll continue wearing this. That's...fair right?"

She looked up at me, causing her to stammer slighly.

"I see.."

My grip on her hand became slightly tighter as I smiled.

"That is fair."

We continued walking down the street, getting compliments from left and right.

"I noticed that you don't enslave people here. Why is that?"

It was an odd question to ask, but I wanted to see if her reasoning matched up with mine.

"Having people as slaves is immoral. That's why.."

"I..agree. When I make my kingdom though, I'll make debt slaves. Y'know, people who are in debt so they would have to work it off. Any other form of slavery though is forbidden."

"I...see. That's fine then.."

We arrived at the museum. It was shaped like a giant cat and the entrance was its mouth.

"How much sir.."

I pulled out my wallet like I was actually about to pay for it.

"Its free."

I nodded and we walked into the mouth.

"You...don't have to ask every time. With me, we can get in..for free."

Yeah, I figured that, but I still wanted to seem like I actually cared.

We walked up a small flight of stairs and saw a long hallway with all kinds of things to the sides. I stared at it all in amazement with Jura only starring at the ground.

"This is...cool..."

I then walked up to a certain structure. It was made of bones.

"Dinosaurs? Dinosaurs were once a thing?"

Is this place earth if magic was a thing? That's genuinely what I'm thinking.

"Yes. This one...was founded 3 weeks ago. They are all under the desert.."

She told me something that my ears actually listened too.

"Its said that the bones of dinosaurs were tougher than steel. We...don't have the equipment to pierce it though.."

"Its hard to pierce huh?.."

I went into thought about something. 'I wonder if she'll let me take this home. Maybe I could pierce it with my sword.'

"May I take this back home? I promise I'll return it.."

"Hm? Do you...have a way to get through it?"

"Yes. I just need to test it that's all."

She then looked up at me and nodded.

"Thank you. I'll do anything you want me too!"

The bones then started shaking and flew into a dark portal.

"Anything?..."

I nodded at her with a smile.

"Then..."

....

We walked through the hallway.

"Can you see like this?"

"Yes. I'm using the gold in your body to see.."

She said something that I should have been doing with my power. 'Yes.. Everyone has deep dark secrets and maybe I could manipulate that like shes doing.'

"Okay. But now we really look like Father and daughter."

She was sitting on my shoulders with her hands on my hair.

"Father and daughter.."

I heard some interest in her voice.

"So, what's this?"

I pointed at a small vase.

"The vase of truth. If you if you ask it a question, it'll give you an honest answer."

"It will?"

I was holding her legs as I got closer to it.

"What's my future? Do I marry Jura?"

Hearing this, Juras expression lit up.

"Idiot.."

She pouted slightly while looking away.

"The answer to your question.."

The vase spoke in a robotic like voice.

"Your future is that of destruction and death."

Death? Does that mean that I'm dying or am I killing?

"Jura. You ask something."

I slighly looked up and she said:

"Will today be a fun day?"

"Yes. I believe that today will be a fun day for you."

This is more like a vase of predictions. I guess truth does fall into that category though.

"I promise I'll make your day fun. Even if its only for today. I'll make sure that this day is a bright memory in your head."

Hearing this, she looked directing at my hair.

"I know.."

We continued walking, with people starring at us, making cute expressions.

"What's that do?"

I pointed to an object that looked like a coffin.

"That...I don't know. It must be new.."

I nodded and checked out the tag.

"It says, "Tomb of Ymir". Ymir was a girl who was subjected to slavery. One day, she was set the lamb free in her village and was hunted down soon after. She ran through the woods and was hit by an arrow from behind, causing her to fall into a tree.

She sunk into the tree and was never seen again."

"Oh. I remember her....She betrayed us, and I gave the order to kill her.."

She then moved her hand out and the coffin, which was made up of gold, moved. The top of the coffin then slid off, and a body of a tanned girl was seen. She looked almost alive.

"What are you going to do?"

She shrugged her shoulders.

"I..just want to see the person who betrayed us once more.."

She stared down at my hair as she said that.

"What was her magic, Jura?"

"She had no elemental. Besides, she wouldn't even use it as...she was a slave."

"Oh, I see. We should leave. This probably brings back bad memories."

I then walked away without hearing her answer.

"I will tell them to...chop her head off and burn the body..."

I nodded at her words. 'I'd probably do the same actually. You found your prey after...however many years. I'd keep something as a trophy.'

We explored the museum for a little bit longer before deciding to go out and eat.

"Let's have a picnic. I have something that you'll like.."

"Something...that I'll like?"

I nodded and walked over to a river. The water that you would usually find in a river was gone and instead replaced with gold.

I put my hand out and a checkered board like blanket was thrown out onto the ground. Food also appeared on it as well.

"What do you think?"

"It looks..."

She stared at my head intensely.

"Black and...white?"

"Perfect!"

I then sat her down and the blanket. I sat down myself and smiled.

"Are you ready?"

I reached into a basket and took out a small circular black object.

"What...is it?"

She scooted closer to me and took it out my hands.

"Its called an oreo. Try it."

She kept feeling all around it.

"Hm?"

She twisted it and took the top off.

"What is this white stuff?"

"Thats...the best part! It's the cream!"

I then pushed her hands together.

"But it's best eaten like this. That way you get all the flavors instead of a single rush of sugar."

I then moved her hand to her mouth.

"I promise it will be good!"

She was hesitant about eating it. A new food that she never heard of was something rare.

"Okay...I trust you."

She opened her mouth and I put it in.

"Woah.."

Her cheeks were becoming redder.

"Its very sweet..."

That didn't stop her from chewing however.

"Its good right?"

"Yes.. its..the best sweet that I've ever tasted.."

She then looked at the basket.

"Oh? You want more? Well, of course you do."

I happily dug back into the basket and pulled out a jar of them.

"Your...too kind.."

I smiled at her words and scooted over to another basket. She took the jar from behind me and undid the cap.

"And this is my meal."

"Isnt that...too much meat?"

"No, not at all. This much is actually me being generous.."

I had a surplus of meats out now. It could probably feed a small village. I had this much meat as I eat for 3 people. Larius, Arsenal, and myself.

"Here. Have an apple. You can't only eat sweets now can you?"

I floated it over to her and placed it in her hands.

"Apple..."

She set the jar down and ate from it.

"Your so cute Jura. Your like a little child.."

It was fun watching her slowly do things.

"I-Im not a child.."

She pouted while biting into the apple.

"Next time, I'll give you apple juice."

"Apple...juice? What is that?"

I shrugged with a smile.

"You'll have to find out next time."

Hearing this, her face slightly lit up.

"Next time?...So this day will come again?.."

She asked with a confused look.

"Yes! We can have many more dates! If..that's fine with you of course.."

Her eyes became lighter as she heard this.

"Yes. That would be....fine.."

....

"Bye...bye..."

The day was young now. The sun was setting, signifying my leave.

I was standing near the wall where I came in from.

"Bye bye."

I patted the empresses head with a smile. It was only her and Haru here sending me off as people arent allowed near the wall when night comes.

"I'll be back soon. And when I come back, I'll have even more surprises for you okay?"

"You...will?"

"Yes, I promise. And we can go into the dungeon together too. If..you want too of course.."

Hearing this, she stared blankly at me. 'The dungeon?..' She continued to stare, making me feel embarrassed from silence.

"Yeah. That'll be fine.."

I bent back up and looked at Haru. I then looked away and said.

"Take care guys. It...was a fun day.."

A small part of the dome then opened up, and a huge gust of red wind came through.

"Yeah. It was fun."

He said as I walked into the storm and slowly disappeared from their vision.

"Haru... Do you like him?.."

Jura turned around and started walking away.

"If you like him then I like him too."

He turned around as well and the wall closed.

....
