CHAPTER 15

I turned around to check if Noah's most trusted guard was still there but to my surprise, he had left. Did he ditch us? One of Marcus' men strolled to my front and gave me a hot slap which sent me to the floor instantly. "Do you think you can successfully leave this camp? I shall be the end of you." He said with anger written all over his face.

At that point in time, I didn't care about myself! All my thought dived to Noah. Was he okay? Did he also get caught? Those questions had nobody to answer them now which made it sad for me, the children were later sent back to camp as they threw me into their dungeon. Noah hadn't even lit the flame and we were caught, that wasn't normal. what if someone had told on us?

I couldn't contain the anger boiling inside me as I let it all out with a scream. Jeez, that felt good, I should do that often.

I was left inside the dirty and tattered room for two days without them offering me either water or food. To be sincere. I think I was dying, I was about to lay down a bit when the door opened. Two strong guards walked in staring at me disgustedly, I knew I smelled bad but you can't blame me! Right? I haven't even got the chance to use the toilet.

"Bring her out," that was all I heard as they dragged me like a thief.

MARCUS POV

"I seriously can't believe this. Why would Noah do this to me? Why would he do this to my father?" Marcus said as he kept punching the wall, he just couldn't believe or accept the fact that he was betrayed by someone who they had thought of as family. He wasn't family again, after everything he had done. He was a traitor and traitors like him deserved punishment.

He didn't even know who to trust again. If the only person he had left had betrayed him, who was he to trust? He had summoned all his guards to his shooting range.

Immediately they came. He couldn't hold his anger as he kept punching the wall again, this time his knuckles were bleeding but it seems like he didn't care. "So, he was the traitor among us? We should probably find a suitable punishment for him. Marcus said with the rage of anger plastered on his face.

Marcus couldn't hold his anger anymore as he removed his gun from his pocket to aim at all the lined up glass cups before shooting at them.

"How dare he go against our brotherhood? I trusted him so much," Marcus said in disgust and anger. Marcus spat out saliva on the floor before using the back of his palm to clean his mouth and later covering it with his leg. "What do you suggest is the most suitable punishment for traitors?" Marcus asked his fellow gang.

They murmured some words amongst themselves. Finally, one of them spoke out. Snake immediately suggested they cut off his arm so he learns his lesson.

"Sure, I like that idea," Marcus said nodding in total approval. He turned to notice how Noah was thrown forcefully on the floor like a beggar, he was surprised that he did not pity him. Moreover, he deserved what they were going to do to him.

He gave Noah a satisfactory smile that meant he had won. He looked up at his guard and ordered them to bring jane for him, he was ready to see the look on Noah's face when Jane is asked to chop off his arms

Immediately she came in, I asked them to give the ax to her. She stared at me like she was scared, and seeing her scared of me made me happy. "Cut his arm off or I kill all of you in camp," I ordered.

"No, no! No. I can't do that," she said pissing me off.

"You can't?" I asked.

"Get me, two kids," I ordered one of the guards to see if she was fit to do what I ordered her to do. But she wasn't making any effort and it was pissing me off, all she cared about was Noah who was bruised on the floor.

Why was she staring at him lustfully? Immediately the kids came inside. She went to them and hid them behind her, I guess she was indicating that I shouldn't hurt any of them. I wasn't going to hurt them, they were my asset and shouldn't be tampered with.

"Why are they here? Don't hurt them please." She said widening her hands to block me from seeing them. She has so much gut though.

"If you don't want any of them to get hurt. It simple! Just do what I have asked you to do." I said with a straight face. She glared at me before staring back at Noah who was bruised by the beating I asked the guard to give him for betraying me.

I stared at her to notice her eyes were watery. Was she about to cry? She shouldn't dare it. She knelt before me and begged. "Please don't let me do this! Please," she begged with tears dripping badly from her eyes.

"Why did I have to pity her, Marcus? they betrayed you," I thought to myself. "Maybe, something better than chopping his arm! Please," she begged making me laugh hard.

"Okay, the easiest should be this! Marry me." I mumbled. The way she stared at me felt like she was disgusted. "With due respect, I can't marry you! Maybe you should just kill me." She said making me angry.

"She wanted to die, right? I should give her what she wanted." Marcus thought as he brought out his gun and aimed at Jane. He pulled the trigger and to his surprise, Noah stepped in front of Jane and it hit him on the chest.

Marcus was confused at what he had just done. He didn't want to kill or hurt anyone! He was just trying to teach them a lesson, what has she made him do. He strolled to the place Noah laid on the floor and held his hand.

He couldn't believe what he had just done. Jane pushed him away, "you monster, what have you done to him?" She said as she hugged Noah tightly, the guard came and dragged her away from him as they tried to help Noah.

But it was too late because he died.
