"Are you sure I should be present for this?" I asked Travis as we stopped in front of the door of the meeting room. 


"You're my future Luna; of course you should." Travis assured me, kissing the top of my head. "Now come on, we've made them wait long enough." 


Sucking in a deep breath, I waited as Travis opened the door that was separating us from the rest of Travis' pack higher ups. 


Squaring my shoulders, I walked in and waited, taking in all the gazes that instantly fell on me. Though I fully expected hostility from Travis' beta Chris, I didn't expect it from almost everyone sitting at the table, aside from Ace and Max. 


Sensing the tension, a low rumbling growl of warning escaped Travis, causing some of the gazes to dart away, but still a few remained. 


"Sorry to keep you waiting." Travis announced, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me to him protectively. "I appreciate all of you waiting."
