Chapter 11

I barely slept last night, twisting and turning thinking about that kiss I shared with Chance. Argh why am I letting this mess with my head. I mean it wasn't my first kiss but it sure was the best kiss I've ever had.

'No, no, no stop' I say to myself while looking at the mirror.

'I mean it was just a meaningless kiss, it didn't mean anything' I try to convince myself.

That was when I heard a knock on the door. When I opened it it was non other than Lily and Chelsea.

'Sup' they both say while entering inside my room. At the thought of that I find myself chuckling can't believe this is my fate I am actually considering this place my room.

I close the door after them and look at them confused.

'Um what are you doing here guys? Are you even allowed to be here?' I ask confused.

'What you mean allowed?' Lily asks me with one brow raised.

'Um I...Well...I...Erm'

'Chill sis I'm just messing with you and Chance isn't around so we thought we could hang with you'

'So come on the other two knuckleheads are downstairs'

'Um okay then'

They lead me towards a room I've never entered before. When we finally get there I am left speechless. I am met with the largest library I've ever seen. I could lock myself in here for days if I could, I really am a book worm.

I don't realize that I'm standing at the door until Ruben says 'Close your mouth sweetcakes flies might enter.'

I end up sending him a glare and of course I close my mouth and enter the room.

'So have you read all these books?' I ask as I snoop around.

'It ain't ours so no'

'Oh' I end up choosing a book and read it.

They decided to go make food and as much as I loved reading books I loved food more so I decided to join them.

When we got there I heard a sound of laughter and when the person laughing came into view I couldn't believe my eyes.

Well I guess that answers that Chance can definitely laugh and I was amazed to hear that sound from him.

My eyes immediately focused on the person who he was laughing with and it was a beautiful woman with beautiful blond hair, around Chance's height, had a super model body. A sense of hurt and jealousy waved through me.

He has never laughed with me he either ignores me or insults me. As soon as he saw me his laugh died down well I guess he really enjoys everyone's company except mine.

I sat between Ruben and Lily and I really wish I was in my room right now I don't know why it hurts to see him with another woman, he doesn't even care about me. I'm such an idiot remember your place to him you are just a liability nothing more.

'Earth to Zoe...' Rubén says while snapping his fingers right on the front of my face.

'Yeah?'

'Bish where is your head at you've been quiet this whole time.' Chelsea says looking worried.

Other than Chance barely looking at me and pretending like we never shared a kiss yesterday oh I'm super fine.

'I am okay Chels just alot on my mind.'

'Chancey who is she?' blondy says while looking at me.

'See's nobody' he says not even looking at me and that really stung like really stung but I hid my hurt.

'Oh but why is she here? Is she the help?'

'I said she's no one now drop it' he says it in a way that suggest that it's no longer up for discussion.

I just sat there and ate in silence after eating I offered to do the dishes and Ruben was very happy at that.

Everyone left me there so I got to work only when I turned around I found Chance looking at me with his cold glare.

'What did I do now Chance?'

'I don't know who let you out of that room but you are not to eat with us nor sit with my gang and you seem to be forgetting your place here Zoe.'

'Don't worry Chance I will not join your table and how can I forget my place when I'm constantly reminded of that every chance you get?'

Before he could say anything else blondy decided to show up.

'Chancey what are you doing her with her?'

She says then wraps her arms around him and kissed him om the lips and it felt like my heart shattered into pieces I really should hate him yet here I am sulking that his kissing another woman.

'Excuse me' I mutter then I leave them unable to look anymore.

'You know his mine right?' I turn around to see blondy with an evil smirk on her lips.

'Now if you come between Chance and I, I will fucking kill you bitch you got that?' she is really doing it.

'Listen here um?'

'Veronica' she says.

'Listen here Veronica you don't have to worry I won't come between you and your Chancey and don't fucking call me bitch again you got that?' I really can't stand it when people use that word on me.

'He is mine' she gives me a fake smile and then turns around and leaves me standing there with my broken heart. What has my life become God, I cried myself to sleep again.
