Chapter 2

I woke up ready to go to school and to my surprise I did not have my regular nightmares yesterday I was so happy that I couldn't stop smiling and I needed to stop that because it was getting annoying

As I got ready I replayed a memory of my mom always coming to my room to make sure I was wake and ready for school

Immediately my smile faded and I was back to the normal Alice everyone knew

Considering I woke up very early I had to wake Maddie and prepare her for school

When I was done with Maddie I went downstairs to be greeted by the smell of pancakes and I entered the kitchen to see Mrs Mary our house keeper and she has been with us for as long as I could remember

She travelled back to visit her family so I was surprised when I saw her and I smiled and walked up to her

"Good morning ma'am "I greeted her with a smile

"Morning baby and how many times have  i told you to call me Mary,ma'am makes me feel too old"she playfully glared at me but smiled afterwards

"I thought you travelled back to meet your family,I'm kind of surprised you are here today you were supposed to come back next week"I looked at her surprisingly

"Yea I was but I missed you guys too and you know that you guys are also my children and it is my responsibility to take care of you guys"she said with a sad smile and I knew what she was talking about and I did not want to deal with that right now so I went over to her and hugged her and told her a quick thank you under my breath

When we were done setting up the tables we heard footsteps coming from the stairs and we turned to see Maddie and jay ascending the stairs in fresh clothes

We sat down in a comfortable silence and ate our breakfast after we were done I kissed them and went straight to my bike and that was when I remembered I was supposed to take Maddie to school today

So I went back inside and grabbed Maddie's bag and we went to the garage to use my car cause I was not planning on loosing my sister due to fear

I dropped Maddie off at her school and headed towards mine

When I pulled into the driveway off our school all eyes turned to my car and I smiled silently,the couldn't see who was inside cause my glasses were tint

So I pulled my keys out of the ignition and stepped out,their reactions were so priceless which earned a smirked from me and I went into the building

I went straight to my locker to get the books I needed for first period and I saw Daisy over there waiting for me and I smiled at her but it wasn't a smile that reached my eyes

"Hey girl"she turned her attention to me and smile

"Hey how are you?"

We chatted for a short time before heading towards our respective classes

As I entered mine I was not surprised to see that the class was empty so I sat down at the back of the class and listened to music from my earpods

When the bell rang signaling the first period students started rushing into the class

The class started as usual,my mind wondered off to my parents

I broke out of my day dream when the door opened and all eyes including mine were at the door again

Then Zander walked in without a care in the world and he was looking so attractive I don't know why my subconscious said that

When our eyes met I did not want to back down cause am not a timid girl so I held his gaze and to my luck that day note the sarcasm the only available sit was beside me again and immediately he sat down I looked away and focused my attention on what the teacher was doing

From the corner of my eyes I could see that he was staring at me

When the bell rang I was so grateful that I get to have lunch but who doesn't love food,so we headed towards the cafeteria and I remembered I left my lunch in my locker so I told Daisy to wait for me on our table while I get my lunch

I was about rounding the corner when I collided with someone again I looked up as luck was not on my side I was meet a pair of hazel eyes which belonged to none other than zander and he wasn't looking pleased to see me

"Hey you better watch where you are going if not you would regret it"I blinked trying to mask the shocked expression on my face and anger consumed it

"You better watch your mouth asshole....it was an honest mistake and I was about apologizing to you but since you are so rude I think I'll pass so if you would excuse me I have better places to be"

I shoved him and made my way to retrieve my lunch,once I entered the cafeteria I spotted Daisy with some boy so I made my way towards them

Daisy saw me approaching and smiled at me which made me smile a little and I rose my eyebrows at her indicating an explanation for the boy sitting beside her

"Hey Xavier this is Alice and Alice this Xavier we have been friends like forever so I was wondering if he could join our cycle"

"Sure why not"she immediately had the biggest smile in the world

We chatted for about 20minutes when Daisy noticed something and her eyes literally popped out of her sockets before speaking "ehm...why is Zander looking at you like he wants to murder you"

I just shrugged at that and she narrowed her eyes at me and realization done on her and she said"what happened when you went to get your lunch and why did you come back late"

I rolled my eyes at her"nothing happened Daisy" she did not believe me and pushed on

"Okay okay I kind of had an encounter with him"

"OMG Ali did you guys make out"

"Nooooo we did not make out...I bumped into him and he was being an asshole so I had to put him in his place you know"

"I'm so proud of you and that's why I love you"she laughed making me smile

"Yea Alice you did a great job not all girls can resist him from what I have seen so far"the laughed at that while I chuckled at the joke

Lunch was over and we made our ways to our classes and lucky for me I had Daisy in my class which was chemistry and I was glad

Classes flew by pretty fast which made me very pleased that it was time to head to Maddie's school to pick her up so we could get ice cream on our way back home like we usually do

I made my way towards the driveway of the school to see Zander and a bimbo blonde girl I think her name is Ruby or so I don't really care leaning towards my car and the were sucking faces I made a mental note to take my car to a car wash

I walked up to them and tapped Zander on his shoulder and the blonde girl gazed at me and I gazed back

"What do you want"he spoke with venom dripping from it which I wasn't surprised for also making me speak with the same venom

"I would like if you and your...whatever she is move out of my way i need to be somewhere"

The blonde girl gazed at me"hey bitch my name is Rebecca"she practically came close to my face to say that

I held my nose before replying"before coming up to my face at least have a breath mint geez your breathe stinks"

Her eyes widened and I suppressed the smile that was breaking out on my face when I saw that Zander was laughing at my comment which made Rebecca practically run away not without gazing at me and that did the trick I laughed making my dimples visible and when I turned to real reason I came here my smile faded

"You have a really nice laughter you should laugh more"

"Yea thanks now move"I think he was contemplating on what to tell me I saw him sigh before he moved

I was about entering my car when I heard him say"maybe we could hang out sometime and become like...friends if you would want that"

I smiled "yea that would be fine"

"And I'm...s...s....s....sorry for being rude to you earlier on princess I wasn't really in a good mood"he said scratching the back of his head and I smiled at that

"It's good we can chat later on I have some where really important to be right now so Adiós"[translation:bye]

I pulled out of the driveway and headed towards Maddie's school to pick her and I was finally happy to see my younger sister
