Chapter 12

Alice POV:

3 years later:

College has been pretty good so far...I met some people which am not really close to

So far just Daisy and I haven't lost communication which am thankful for

Now back to the present,am currently on a break from college for a month before our finals

Mason and I started talking from that day and we have gotten pretty close

We have gone on dates but I don't really like him that way...I like him like a brother and I hope he doesn't pop a question like would you be my girlfriend because I would have to reject him and I don't want to hurt him

Today it's one of those days where I dress up for the date and Daisy and my lovely sister are helping me get ready for it

I did my makeup and am not talking of the ones I usually do everyday

Daisy did my hair which was fabulous and we headed to my closet to pick a dress for myself

I decided to go with a body con dress that stops above my knee

It has a v neck line that revealed not too much cleavage in which I paired it with my silver heels and I looked great

[if the combination of the dress and heels doesn't make sense am sorry...I'm not really a fashionista 🤭]

Maddie and Daisy smiled at the results and we took some selfie's before I grabbed my purse

I heard the doorbell ring after getting the purse and I knew it was mason

I went downstairs to see mason looking all handsome at the bottom with Jason

"Oh my goodness...you look like an angel A"

I blushed and replied "thanks you don't look bad yourself"

We turned to Jason and he said "have her home before midnight"

I rolled my eyes at him and kissed his cheek before heading out with mason

Dinner was awesome as always we talked about everything and anything

I told him some memories about my childhood which he listened carefully and I was so happy for bumping into him that day

He paid the bills and we headed out towards his car "we aren't done yet with the date...I want to take you somewhere"

"Uhhh...someone is getting extra romantic tonight"he blushed

"Just shut up and get in the car"

I laughed and with that I climbed into the car and we were off

We came to a halt at a cliff where you could see the city in all its glory and it looked beautiful

"Wow....it's...it's beautiful"

"So that means you like it"

"Yea I love it thank you....thank you for being there for me when no one was"

"That's means a lot A I appreciate it and your welcome"he smiled

"There's something I want to ask you"my eyes widened at that statement thinking he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend which I did not want to

"Uhm...I know we have been really close and all but I just want you to know that I like you and before you say anything....I don't like you that way...I like you just like my own sister and like the best friend I never had...your understanding,loving,caring and all and I just wanted to ask you this A would you be my best friend officially"

I smiled and jumped "yes I will mason"

With that he hugged me and gave me a friendship bracelet with the words engraved in it "best friends forever m&a"

We sat for a while and talked a lot....he told me he is the acting CEO of his dad's company for now and he is actually interested in daisy but he doesn't really know how to approach her and I made a mental note to play Cupid for him

I had a feeling that I was being watched but I decided to shake that off I didn't want to ruin our little date

After everything we decided to head home...he dropped me off at my house and I went up to my room but before going up to my room I checked Maddie's to see she was sleeping and I checked Jason he was half asleep

"Hey"He looked up at me

"Hey...how was it kiddo"

"Oh it was really good I had fun"

"So did he ask you out"

"No he didn't surprisingly he asked me to be his best friend instead"

"Oh thank god...I'm so happy he didn't ask you to be his girlfriend "

I laughed before answering "yea me too..I think I'll head off to bed now...good night Jay"

"Night kiddo I love you"

"Love you too"

I closed his room door and went to mine..I opened the door and immediately I closed it I was pushed to it by a force I wanted screaming but my mouth was covered with the imposters hand

I bite the person's hand and the person left my mouth and whisper yelled "ouch"

I could recognize that voice anywhere so I turned on my light and immediately I saw the guy that left me heart broken when I needed him most Zander

"What are you doing here"I said with venom dripping from my words

"Hey to you too..Uhm I came here to see you"

"Why"I asked

"Because I missed you Ali..I really did...it's been hard for me all this years"

"Zander GET OUT"I was getting really angry cause he doesn't have the right to do so after what he did

"Alice I'm really sorry for how I ended our friendship....I'm sorry for hurting you but I did all that for a reason Alice trust me"

"I should trust you Zander...where did that ever get me"I could see hurt flash in his eyes

"I know am really sorry about...I came to see you to make things right..."

"You came to make things right"I laughed evilly

"Guess what...your three years late for that"

"I don't care Ali I'll make sure I win your heart back I'm really sorry....I did what I did to protect you cause I was in love with you and I still am"

I froze on the spot after those words left his mouth

"What???...you say you love me but you go around sleeping with alot of girls"

"It's not what you think Ali"

"It's not what I think...you have got to be kidding me...I have read about you Zander...who doesn't know you...the famous CEO bachelor of miller's company and shit...having countless one night stands and then you show up in my room to tell me trash...Zander fuck you"I almost screamed

My eyes were a bit glassy from the tears that were forming and Zander just stood there looking at me with a sad look on his face

"I would like for you to leave my room just like you left my life Zander...leave"

He looked at me with pleading eyes but I have had enough

"I'll leave Ali but one thing is for sure...I'll stop at nothing I mean nothing to get you back.."and with that he jumped out through the window

Immediately he left I couldn't hold back the tears in my eyes

"How....how..could he just come back to my life like that....after all he did...."I whispered to myself through my tears

I didn't know how long I cried for but eventually I had fallen asleep and I was thankful for that cause my body had used up all the excess water in my system as tears and I had none left to shed and also I was emotionally drained
