Chapter 23

Alice's POV

I felt someone shaking me to wake me which I didn't want to

So I turned the other side and continued my sleep that was when I heard someone chuckle and it was non other than Zander yay!!! *note the sarcasm*

"I wanted giving you this for breakfast but since you aren't awake I guess I'll have to eat it"

Oh hell no you don't immediately I heard food I was up

"That always works on you every single time"

"Neh neh neh"I said sticking my tongue out

Then I got my breakfast package and it was so mouth watering

It was blueberry pancakes with fruits by the side and my Starbucks

I was also happy and at that moment I became so hungry so I just went ahead to enjoy my meal

Few minutes later I was done eating and I remembered that Zander was still here

I always focused on my food when ever I was eating

I turned to him and I saw a smile on his face while he was staring at his phone and I would say it kind of made me jealous okay okay I was jealous

"Hey what you smiling for"

"Oh i was just looking at the most beautiful girl in the world"

It was like I was stabbed in the heart but immediately it came I masked it

"Can I see too"

"Yea sure"

He passed his phone to me and the picture I saw made my heart warm and my eyes watery

It was me sleeping while cuddling with him in my room and he was smiling widely towards the camera

I turned to look at him "when did you take that"

"The night I came over to your house Ali...I couldn't keep my eyes off you because you looked so beautiful when you were sleeping....you were like a baby without a care in the world and I wanted to capture that moment which I did and I captured more too...what I wanted telling you last night was Ali ever since we were in high school I was so in love with you that when I had to move to another city due to some stuffs it really broke me that was why I tried to make you hate me....I didn't want you to feel hurt after leaving...I was always with you in the hospital at night I couldn't just give up on you....I still loved you and I'm still in love with you Ali....I know I have wronged you I'm so many ways but please forgive me"

I was speechless after that I just stared that him when teary eyes and I finally let the words out of my chest

"I love you too zay"

He looked shocked and he just stared at me so I did the only thing that could bring him back

I kissed him and immediately he responded back after a few minutes we pulled apart and you could say we had the biggest smiles on our faces

"Ali would you be my girlfriend"he looked hopeful

"Yes I will"

This time I wasn't the one that initiated the kiss and I was so happy and filled with joy

After few minutes we broke the kiss and at the timing Jay came into the room

"Hey kiddo...how are you?"

"I'm good"he smiled at me before he turned to look at Zander and the began talking

I didn't want to eavesdrop so I decided to zone out

Few hours later we were getting ready to leave the hospital which made me very happy and excited

Jay left with his car with my belongings and I had to follow Zander back to my apartment

During the ride we were holding hands which sent butterflies to my stomach and I couldn't hold the smile that was forming on my face and I noticed Zander checking me out from time to time with the same smile too which made me wonder why because I was wearing a plain sweatpants and white crop top and no makeup

We arrived home and I was excited to finally see Maddie I missed her so much

I walked into my apartment and I was shocked when I heard "surprise!!!!"

I looked around and saw that my friends were in my apartment

I don't know how Jay got mason and Daisy down here but I saw them standing there

I saw Maddie in front with the biggest smile on her face and I saw ma'am holding her also with a smile on her face and I turned to look at Zander

He looked at me with so much adoration and love which made my heart swell

"Thanks guys...I love you guys so much"

I left Zander's side and went for my hugs,the first person I received a hug from was Maddie

"Hey Ali....I missed you so much and I just wanted to say I love you"

I smiled with teary eyes "I love you too kiddo...always have and will always love you"

She hugged me back and after we pulled out I went to meet ma'am

"Hey ma'am"

"Hey Ali"

"Thanks for coming ma'am I really appreciate it and thanks for also taking care of Maddie while I was in the hospital"

"No need to thank me Ali...are you forgetting that you guys are my children too I'll do anything for you guys...I could literally take a bullet for you"

"Thanks ma'am..I'll do same for you without having second thoughts"

"I know Ali...welcome back"

So for the pat down 10 minutes that was what I was doing finally the moment I have been dreading

I pulled mason and Daisy to the side and I decided to tell them

After telling them I had cancer mason and Daisy looked at me with worry and sadness which I didn't want but as fast as it came it left and we had a group hug which was reassuring

After the party,mason and Daisy went to a hotel

Did I forget to tell you guys that Stella flew in which made me very happy

I had three extra rooms in my apartment so I made Stella and Jay stay in one

Ma'am and Maddie in one because Maddie wasn't really feeling it

And I stayed in one with Zander which was so exciting because it was going to be the first time we were staying together as a couple

We didn't do much though,I just told him about the list I wrote which I was going to show him tomorrow

After discussing for sometime we feel asleep and I couldn't help the smile on my face

This book is about to end though,I have decreased the chapters because am trying to write another book so I need to complete this first before starting on that 🙂🙂
