Chapter 22

Alice's POV :

I woke up after sometime after that incident and I decided that I wasn't going to dwell on that even though I was hurt but he deserves to be happy and if leaving me makes him happy then it's good

After a few minutes I heard a knock on the door and I said come in with my head down

I didn't hear any one speak so I rose my head and saw it was Zander and he was with flowers,chocolate and a teddy bear which surprised me because I thought he left but I guess I was wrong after all

"Uhm...hey"he said awkwardly

"Hi"

"I got you this items"he handed me the flowers,chocolates and teddy

"Thanks"

"Ali I'm so sorry I didn't mean to walk out like that...it's just that am very foolish when it comes to words and what you said was a lot to take in and you were kind of down so I wanted going to the store across the street to get you this items for it to cheer you up...I was so dumb for picking that moment...I know I would have said something at least...oh my God I'm such an idiot...."

I stopped his rant by interrupting him "hey it's fine" seeing the way he was genuine made me realize that he didn't really mean it

"Thanks Ali...I'm sorry once again I'll do everything to make you happy"

I smiled at that and that was when I realized that I was in love with Zander and I was scared to tell him because if he reacted that way with the news of my illness and I had a panic attack just imagine if he doesn't love me back I'll die...lol I'm just being dramatic there

I also got you this necklace as a way of telling you that I was deeply sorry

I got the necklace and it was beautiful...it wasn't really expensive but it was enough and thoughtful

"Thanks....I love it"he smiled at then

"I got a matching one too mine is already on"he showed me the necklace

"Then please can you help me with mine"

He did just that and I smiled and held the necklace

Hours went by which consisted of people visiting me and all the hospital stuff and  it was time for visitors to leave

did I also tell you guys that ma'am came which made my heart swell for the love she had for me

The only people that didn't show up were Daisy and mason which I understood because I told Zander and Jay not to call them because that way the would find out

I was going to tell them eventually but  I wasn't  ready because they would treat me like am some egg that can break at any moment and i wasn't really ready for that

Stella FaceTimed me,Maddie came and told me stories to make me feel better

Jay came around with food because I was complaining about the hospital food and being the dramatic ass that I am he just had to buy food for me

Zander was just by my side making sure I was okay and I was smiling which was so adorable

He also agreed to stay with me for the night which I was grateful for cause I was leaving this hell hole the next day

"If you need anything I'll be on the chair over there just say my name okay?"

"Yea"I said looking at the chair

He came towards me and kissed me on my forehead

"Good night princess"

"Uhm..Zander are you sure you would fit into the couch it's kind of small and you'll have pains everywhere by tomorrow"

He looked at the couch too and he gave me a small smile "I guess I'll have to try...it's either that or the floor"

"No you can sleep here with Me I don't really mind"

"Are you sure Ali..I don't want to make you uncomfortable"

"I'm sure and am never uncomfortable with you"I blushed at my word and mentally face palmed myself

I heard him laugh before he said "I definitely will sleep now"

He began removing his clothes and my eyes widened

"What...a..are you doing"suddenly stuttering

"I'm getting ready for bed durhhhh"

"Why must you strip down"

"Well sweetheart...I can't sleep comfortably with this clothes so you have to deal with it for the night...or are you feeling distracted or something...you know you could always tell me"

"Uhm...no I'm not"my face was as red as a tomato at this point

"Yea sure your not"he smirked before making his way towards the small space I created for him

I turned towards the other side in order to not get distracted by his body

I felt the other side of the bed dip and he pulled me towards his chest so we could cuddle and I was surprised so i let out a squeal which earned a laugh from him

"What are you laughing at you douchebag"

"Nothing serious...Ali get some sleep so you could be up on time to leave the hospital"

"Alright...good night zay"

He rose his head and looked at me with adoration

"So you remembered"

"Yea I couldn't forget it no matter how hard I tried"

In that moment he started leaning in and it felt like everything around us stopped moving I didn't know how our faces were inches apart from each other but it kind of happened and he looked at my eyes making me look at his hazel ones too and I think I saw love flash through but I was gone as soon as it came

Then he closed the gap between us and my stomach started having this little butterfly thingy

After kissing for about 5 minutes we pulled apart due to the aim of breathing

He kissed my forehead before saying "Alice I know this isn't the right time to tell you this but I'm....."and that forks was how we were interrupted by his phone making us turn towards the phone

Zander reached out and got the phone and it was a text from Jay saying thanks man for everything I really appreciate it and please don't forget to make her go to bed on time because I don't want a grumpy ass Ali tomorrow thanks man

I rolled my eyes after the last sentence and Jay smiled before saying

"I know you read that too...it's time to go to bed princess we'll talk tomorrow"

"Yea I guess"I was disappointed and mad at Jay for sending the text at that moment but I had no other choice

I cuddles into zay and all i could think about was what he was going to say

And I finally fell asleep but before I was deep into the sleep I felt a kiss on my cheek

Yay the finally kissed 😩😩..I know you didn't expect that I hope you liked the chapter

I know am late on the update and I'm so sorry about that
