Kaz slashes through the husk to his left and continues the blade into a sweeping motion to come back around and hit the right. He pulls the spear back and throws it through the skull of two husks in front of him as he jumps over two husks that collide into each other. Kaz lands back down, stomping the nape of their next finishing them then rolls forward under the swap of another husk, grabbing his spear as he comes to his feet letting the two husks continue falling to the ground and bringing the spear butt back into the husk he previously dodged, crushing its skull and finishing it as well.

Kaz quickly pulls up his tower defense panel and could see a few more turrets had been taken out and he dropped a few more down at the walls and through the compound as he marked down other breach points before heading in that direction and closing the panel.

[I deemed it beneficial to do so that you can tell what your nexus gland adds to on top of your physical ability. The base stats are inherent to your physical body whereas your current stats are a multiple of your body, when you evolve your Gland, it will congregate some of these stats into your physical being. Also, so that you could understand the changes in fabrication I added the current skills within it.]

As Kaz turns the corner he can see one of the turrets he put down being overwhelmed by the husks, seemingly going for the nexus cores within them as well as the ammo. Kaz inwardly smirked as the husks started to fall due to their energy being absorbed.
'I guess they aren't smart enough to understand that they will die if they touch those crystals.'
Kaz cleared the last remaining few on the turret before stashing it and dropping a new one. Kaz had been fending the breaches on his wall for a few hours now with little break, running between the breaches to clear them so that he is not overrun. During this time, he has collected quite a bit of wisps from using just his spear. He picked up the energy core bullets that were filled with energy and stashed them.
This back and forth or clearing breaches continued for about another 2 hours before he noticed a change. Some of the husks were taking more bullets Causing his eyes to narrow. The enemies coming now were stronger. Looking at the stronger variants, they had less flesh hanging and their skin was less red, with them having muscle definition on the areas that were intact.
"Can you display a level equivalent to the powers of the enemies above their head?"
[Yes but due note, enemies level 10 and under can differ in power dramatically since a level 10 with an awakened Nexus Gland is at least 10 times stronger than a level 10 without. Level one through ten is locked within a body and Gland development restriction, after compression the next set of levels will be unlocked and you will not have as much of a multiplier in the later levels as you can receive in the beginning and becomes more additive later than multiplicative.]
"I think I followed all that, anyways, I would like to see the levels."
Suddenly, the thousands of husks had levels above them and all the weaker husks were levels 5-7 and all the new stronger variants were level 10. Kaz continued to observe and noticed the new stronger ones took about 3 bullets instead of one to kill them.
'They are at least 3 times stronger, they are going to overwhelm my defenses, I can tell.'
Kaz rushed to the closest beach to the closest strong husks. When he came close enough, he could see the name being different.
{Awakened Husk lvl. 10}
Kaz cleared off the current husks on his wall before meeting the first awakened husk. He swings his spear and the husk side steps it, before releasing a claw at Kaz who then spun the spear but up catching the claw and guiding it over his shoulder and crouching down letting its body weight center over his back before pushing up sending it flying over his shoulder then directing his spear to the face of the awakened husk and slamming it down into the ground.

'Higher risk, higher reward, these guys seem to have some battle sense about them, I have to be careful fighting them.'
Kaz recomposed as three more Awakened Husks appeared above the wall and engaged. Kaz, using his reach, hits the claws off course with his pole, prods attacking limbs with the spear countering their attacks as well, damaging their claws. Having to be on the defensive makes it harder for him to finish them but he is still able to. This higher level of combat refines his senses better, his movements more smoothly dodge and manipulate the spear in a more lethal manner, his gaze starts to focus on weak points more easily, as his body covers his own.

Kaz becomes faster at clearing the enemies, but more start to pour in, slowly overwhelming his defenses. Kaz continues his dance like defensive maneuvers against the awakened husks almost in a trance. His angles of attacks continue to refine, his footwork becomes more precise, his positioning more advantageous. Dozens of enemies litter the ground as his dance continues.
[Wisps 1000/1000 reached, any more wisps will cause an evolution.]
Kaz caught this notification as his hand was in the motion of slicing through another husk, causing the enemy defeated notification chime again. Resulting in more wisps.
[Evolution initiated…]
Suddenly Kaz's energy seemed to rush to his Nexus gland, he felt a similar pain to when he first awoken it, he started taking hits from husks, losing his edge in strength and focus as the evolution went underway, he felt weaker and weaker, as his nexus gland began to throb continued to feel as if it was on fire. Kaz's swing became sloppy and he received a hit that threw him back into a wall. He threw his spear in a last ditch effort only to have it swatted away. The husks began to close in, in the motions of sleeping at him, as the last wisp in his body entered his gland, causing it to start to glow, as the slightly bloated gland beacons to compress down. The light began to show through his skull and eyes as Kaz screamed from pain and desperation staring at the husks…as they disintegrate?
His panic was then introduced to confusion. He stared at the husks, and they began disintegrating before his eyes, some even starting to run away. Kaz was initially unaware that his eyes were giving off the light, until it only followed where he looked. He started to yell at the husks as he gazed at them until they disintegrated. He stood up as the gland returned to its original rice grain size with a somewhat silver sheen covering it. Kaz suddenly felt his energy skyrocket to a level beyond what it was originally the glow disappeared as Kaz starred in a daze at his new notification.
