Chapter 31

"Arrrrgh,grwwww" the zombies kept making sounds as they wait for any sound from anyone or anything and they would pounce on them,Logan and Mark sat in the car watching as the zombies staggered around them,they already reached Mark's mom place but they couldn't get out of the car,they were surrounded by the zombies,Mark yawned indicating that he was hungry and Logan picked a snack and gave it to him....!

"Thanks...I'm really starving here,what about you? aren't you gonna eat?" Mark asked as he collected the snack from Logan

"Nope....not yet!" Logan replied and fixed his eyes on the zombies

"Logan.....i am sorry,that we are stuck here is all my fault"Mark apologized...if he hadn't requested to see his mom,they wouldn't have been stocked in the middle of the zombie squad.

Logan saw the apologetic look on his lover's face and smiled "It's okay Mark,I'm not blaming you,I'm just trying to figure out how we will leave the car and enter your mom's house,by the way....do you think she'll still be inside the house?? cause ion think so"

"Hmm!!! I don't know either,we should wait a little bit more,who knows the zombies might leave,then we will come out of the car and go check inside the house" Mark replied and Logan agreed,after eating they both kept waiting until they fell asleep.

It was night time by the time they woke up and the zombies were no longer much around the spot they were,so they slowly and quietly came down from the car and walked towards Helen's house avoiding the zombies that were still there,the door was open by the time they got there and they entered,they searched around the house but could not find trace of her so they went to her room,there they saw a blood stained note on the table and Mark picked it up....!

"I love you son,and don't come looking for me!" it was a simple but heart wrecking note,Mark held the note in his hands as he cried,Logan rushed and hugged him placing his mouth on his shoulders so he won't be loud and attract the zombies outside,Mark cried until there was no tears left to shed and Logan dragged him out of the house quietly, and they went back to the car and entered it.

"Who do you want to call ?" Mark asked as he saw Logan dialing a contact

"My brother.....his line haven't been connecting since"Logan answered worriedly

"Don't worry he's fine,he'll probably be doing some stuffs" Mark said as he tried to make him less worried.

"Uhmm!!..let's go back home then!"

"No wait!! you can't start the car it will attract them,look they are still around" Mark said as he pointed out to the zombies around,Logan nodded his head but still started the car

"We can't stay here forever okay?! we have to go out from here...." Logan drove off before Mark could say anything.

"Look!!!" Mark suddenly said while pointing at the front," it's mother!!" he half screamed as he tried opening the car to go out,his mom was standing with other zombies looking for the noises they were hearing,it was night and they couldn't see at night,

"What are you doing?" Logan asked Mark while holding him

"I want to go and see my mom" Mark replied with tears in his eyes

"But Mark look.....she's no longer the mom you know okay!?" Logan said

"But...."

"Shhhhh!....you still have me here don't you?!" Logan said while hugging the crying Mark,he turned to look at Mark's mom and he saw her waving bye at them and left the place,Logan subconsciously let out a tear fall from his eyes as he cried silently as well.
