Shift Schedule

Time passes since we enter the room.

"It's time for me to go back."

Break time was already over. And so Sam, the first one to get out of bed to pick her uniform on the ground and wear it.

"Lock the door when you go out."

"Okay"

"Then I'm going now."

She left the room while I was on the bed naked.

Since I'm not tired, after she left, I got up as well and wore my uniform. The reason was, while break time, we didn't spend all the time having s*x. Half of the time was telling her about the commission. After telling it to her, she commented, "That's normal, you will get used to it."

After having fully clothed, next I fix the bed that Sam and I used. Furthermore, I cleaned the area so that her roommates wouldn't suspect it.

"Phew…"

After some cleaning, I exited the room and didn't forget to lock it. And not to forget when I get out, I look around if someone's there, but luckily there is no one.

"Haah… safe…"

Knowing that it was safe to go, I stepped forward.

I've been walking without seeing anyone until I almost reach the point that I can get out of this side. I thought that I would get out here without seeing someone, but suddenly someone exited the elevator and turned this way.

"Shin?"

"Ms. Belle…"

"What are you doing on that side?"

"Um… this… I had a friend here, and I have something to borrow."

"Why don't you just talk to that person down there?"

"Well… I can't find her, so I just visit her in her room."

Nothing suspicious here. Just believe it, believe it. Just be fooled once.

She seems to believe me and just walks through.

"Wait."

I stop her because I have something to tell her.

"Isn't break time over already?"

"Huh? My break time just started."

"Huh?"

"Ah, you don't know? Well, since you're new here, and you're young. Everyone has their own assigned break time, I assume your break time was a few hours ago, but this time the staff who assign their break this time are their turn just like me."

"Who's the person who told you guys your time?"

"It's either Ms. Alice or boss."

"..."

"Is my explanation confusing?"

"Then have something else to ask?"

"No, that's all."

"Then I should go now."

Ms. Belle continues her walk. Meanwhile, me, standing here while thinking something.

Everyone has their own set of time for break, and the one told them was either Ms. Alice or boss. But for me, the one who told me was Sam… Did she lie to me?...

"I should ask Ms. Alice later."

I should ask first before getting angry.

"I should change first."

After some long thought, I continue walking and go to my room.

When reaching the door, I went inside and headed straight to the bathroom. 'Cause I decided to take a shower since I didn't take one earlier.

Taking off my clothes and heading in, then turning on the water. Start washing my body from head to toe. Finish to wash myself, I start rinsing it.

After rinsing, I dry myself with a towel. As soon as I finished, I exited the bathroom and started picking some clothes from Lucas' cabinet, then wearing it.

"I'm really grateful to Lucas that I can borrow his clothes. So once I get my salary, I should pay him off, and I shall buy my clothes as well."

As I got fully clothed, I exited the room and headed to the elevator. And I rode the elevator as soon as I reached it.

Without taking too long, I arrived at the floor. The floor I was on is the 100th floor. I went here, this floor because I'm going to ask Ms. Alice or boss about my break time.

So I went to the boss room and knocked on the door.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Come in."

As the boss answered, I opened the door and went inside. Furthermore, both the boss and Ms. Alice are there.

"Boss…"

"Hmm? Do you need something, Shin?"

"I just had something to ask."

"Go on"

"Um… I just want to know my break time."

"Hmm?" Boss seems to be confused and looks at Ms. Alice. "Alice, have you not told Shin?"

When Boss asked her, Ms. Alice looked at me and asked me as well. "Have I not told you?"

"You have not told me yet, Ms. Alice."

After answering her, she turns her body facing the boss then lower her head. "Sorry, boss, I think I have forgotten it."

"Now, now, I don't mind. You should apologize to Shin instead."

As the boss said that, Ms. Alice turned to me and did the same. "I'm sorry for not telling you."

"It's okay, I'm not that mad. I just want to know."

"Then what did you do for the past few days? So you just work for a whole day without a break?" Boss asked me.

"Well actually… I've been following someone's break time…"

"Hah?!" Ms. Alice said in a normal tone, like a question and aggressive way.

"Hmm? Something's wrong, Alice?" Boss noticed and asked her.

"Nothing, boss."

"So, you want to know your time set?" Boss asked me.

"Yes, boss."

"Then Alice, can you tell him?"

"Okay boss." Ms. Alice said it to boss then looked at me, "Since I'm going to tell you about it, I shall tell you about your shift as well."

"I appreciate it."

"Then here I go." She paused a little, then continued talking. "Your shift is starting at 6 AM to 6 PM. And in those time, your break time are start at 9 AM to 12 PM–"

When I heard the time, I clicked my tongue and mumbled, "THAT Liar…"

"..."

"Something wrong?"

Did they hear me? Looking at them, Ms. Alice became quiet, but her eyes were like cold eyes while the boss asked me.

"N-nothing. Just continue."

"Then Alice, continue it."

"...9 to 11 AM is your break time. And your day off is every Monday. That's all. So you understand?"

"Yes, I understand clearly. Thanks for telling me."

"Is there something else to ask?"

"There is. It's about commission."

"What about it?"

"I mean, what shift am I when it comes to commission?"

"About that, it's random."

"Random?"

"We randomly pick people who are suitable for the job."

"So… you guys are just going to call me if I'm suitable?"

"That's the case."

"I see… then thank you for answering it."

"Is that all of your question?"

"Yes." I turned around. "Sorry for the intrusion, I should go now."

"Wait."

I was thinking of leaving, but boss stopped me.

"What is it, boss?"

"It's about your break time, what time you're going before you asked us?"

"Eh?"

Boss asked me that, but he knew what we're doing because of the CCTV. Why would he ask that?

I gulp. "I-it's 12 to 3 PM…"

"Then use that time set to your break time now."

"Huh? Why boss?"

"Well, since you are already used to it, not why use it now. And It's bad to your friends that you hang out at that time if you suddenly change."

"..."

It's nerve racking, when he said that. Knowing that he knows, but allows it, makes me suspect. Now, I really regret going here to ask them in the first place.

I was sweating. Boss just staring at me waiting for me to answer. While Ms. Alice just stands there quietly, but likewise her eyes are like dead inside.

To end this tense, I start talking. "...then I shall follow that."

"Good."

Good? I need to stop thinking and just leave already.

"Then I shall go now."

"Just visit here if you have something to ask."

"Yes, I will."

Then I left the room.

After Shin left, Alice started talking.

"Boss! Why would you allow him?!"

"Allow what?"

"To switch his time."

"Why not?"

"It's because… because…"

"It's because of Ms. Samantha?"

"You know?"

"Yea. I already saw them on CCTV. And they have been doing it lately."

"Boss, why would you just let them be?!"

"You really hate her, ha?"

"I can't stand her."

"Is it because you two are the same?"

"We're not the same at all!"
