Chapter 20

Hundreds of horsemen could be seen riding on a small road in the middle of a forest. Streaks of red could be seen flashing by as they rode. This was probably due to the fact that many of these men were wearing red armor. It was not every day you see a big group such as this one especially one wearing full plate armor. There were about 400 men riding and 100 could be seen with this armor while all 400 had good qualities weapons and horses. This group was clearly armed to the teeth and you would not want to mess with them.

The most fearsome aspect of this group was not their gear but the dense killing intent that surrounded the group. Their faces showed that they had killed more than a few and were very experienced at it. They looked as ferocious as Orcs and seemed to be brimming with confidence. Deep down though they knew that they were all pretty nervous as soon they would attempt something that was assumed impossible. They could all be dead soon and all their newfound power could be lost before they even had a chance to use it.

A certain masked man in a hooded bear cloak could be seen leading the group. He was riding a huge wolf-like beast. It was a warg. The man was carrying a morning star in his hand. Obviously, this was Kane and if he was showing his face people would see a smile that could melt even the coldest of hearts. He was happy about how successful he has been in the past few weeks. He not only conquered the surrounding bandit clans he also received so much more. When he went on his little crusade he earned many system points and bought better gear for the men as well as better horses. It was expensive to buy them all armor so he only bought it for some. But he supplied better weapons and horses for all. He also spent time training with them so they got better at fighting together. The goblin population almost went extinct due to these training exercises.

Kane had also done some other activities so that the bandit groups could get to know each other. If you are going to be fighting together it's best to know who you are fighting with after all. It was not too hard to make the bandits friends as they had a lot in common. You know things like robbery, killing, fighting, fucking, drinking, and singing terribly. But that helped make them stronger so it was fine. He inspired them by telling them his plans and introducing them to the people from Iron Falls Hold. The bandits were shocked when meeting the Orcs, Dwarves, and Romans. They were all looking forward to the future especially the original group that Kane had joined. It had not been long but he felt like Dallin and the others were true friends. Dallin even recruited some of his old comrades.

Kane had also been sending messages back and forth with his group at the Iron Rosse Kingdom. They had increased the Crimson Crusaders' fame and had several people who disliked the king help them. Many wanted to join in with the group. Kane was happy with this. The group would launch an attack behind the gates so that they could open them and let Kane and his newly formed army inside. It was tricky and Kane had a feeling most of the group on the inside would die but he was prepared for it. Once they let him in then the Crimson Crusaders could ride all the way to the capital and finish off the kingdom and king. Kane knew that there were not many soldiers and as long as he got past the wall everything would work out well. The people would also rally behind him if it was shown that the King could not fight back. He would then dethrone the king and become king himself. The only worry was the general at the king's side.

Kane had completed many of the hidden missions while recruiting his army and even after spending a lot of shop points he still had 8000 left. He also had a good amount of money due to him being in charge of all the bandit clans now. He wanted to save the points for upgrading his kingdom but he decided to upgrade himself if he was going into battle. He just has to decide what he wants to buy.

He decided to upgrade his fire magic. It would cost 3000 shop points to give him the ability to directly attack with the fire. He could summon small fireballs and do a few other things with it. It would be pretty useful even if it was not the most powerful. He had a lot of mana due to constant practice and he felt like he could take down many men with his fire alone.

Kane felt the wind crash against his body as he rode closer and closer to the kingdom. He had prepared for this moment since the beginning and was feeling on top of the world. He love the thrill of war and also loved challenges. And this would be his greatest challenge yet. He looked at his army behind him. They were no Roman legion but they were his army and he felt confidant in them and himself. This was the beginning of his empire and this would be the first of many kingdoms to fall down to the might of him and his legions. He looked in front of him and noticed that a huge wall was showing from over the treetops. It was showered in moonlight and smoke could be seen billowing from the top. This was the sign! His men had opened the gate. Whether they had survived was something else. He could not focus on that at the moment as it was time to charge forward to attack the main kingdom.

"TODAY WE CONQUEROR THE IRON ROSE KINGDOM!!!!! FOR GLORY! FOR WEALTH! FOR VICTORY! CHARGE!!!!!!"
