“My gods, you’re getting as quiet as a tracking wolf. I almost spilled my coffee. I didn’t hear you coming.”
“Blame the thick carpet for my stealth and your distraction for not hearing me approach. What has you so fascinated?” Kane put on his robe, sat down, and poured himself some coffee.
Gabriel called Agnes, “Alpha Mate is up and hungry…Yes, I’ll tell him.”
“Agnes says she’s putting some peaches in your oatmeal today with brown sugar. Scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes and bacon, okay with you?”
“It sounds like too much, but I know I’ll eat it so tell Agnes to do her worst.” Kane giggled.
Fifteen minutes later the elevator dinged and Agnes stepped in from the hall and began to pile food on the table. Kane looked questioning at Gabriel.
Agnes said in a matter of fact voice, “Eat this. You’re also going to be looking for a snack at ten, lunch at twelve and another midday snack. From now on, you’ll be eating six meals a day, at least until the mating.”
