“I don’t believe you just growled at me!”
“You’re taking my cookies. I’m going to have to eat you instead.”
Gabriel tickled Kane until Kane almost wet his pants. “I give up. I swear, I’m never going to take another cookie from your plate again.”
Gabriel looked at him rather smugly. “Not unless you ask, nicely.”
Kane grabbed another cookie. “Consider yourself asked.”
Gabriel threw back his head and laughed so hard that tears spilled down his cheeks. “You really aren’t afraid of me, even when I growl.”
“Nope. I expect that you’ll get growly sometimes when I don’t want to do things your way. There are times I’ll cave and times I won’t like now, I’m hungry and I wanted that cookie.”
Gabriel’s looked on Kane with a twinkle in his eyes. “Then I suppose we’ll have to ask Agnes for more food since Marceau, Gaspard, Leon, Agnes and our Enforcers are coming up for our traditional Yule feast.” Gabriel’s eyes sparkled with mischief.
