Alpha Marc Thierry was used to the North Woods of Minnesota, so his elevation to third on the loup garou council necessitated a move to a Gramacy section of New York City. On Monday nights, his housekeeper is off and Marc doesn’t like casseroles. He orders Chinese and gets a musical voice on the line that calls to him. Scarred Mate

Michelle was waiting in the kitchen with chicken and dumplings.


“I don’t know why I’m so hungry. I had two helpings of soup and two sandwiches a little over an hour ago.”


“Your body is preparing for the mating.” Michelle filled his bowl with rice and ladled the chicken and dumplings over it. She served a side salad and brownies for dessert. He was stuffed.


“Now you go and take a nap. Marc has some business to attend to before tonight. Thank you for your help with lunch.”


“Thanks are not necessary. You’ve done so much for me. I wanted to pay you back.” Colin finished his plate.


“You don’t have to pay back family.” Michelle patted him on the shoulder and started to clear the table.


“Are you sure you don’t need an extra pair of hands in the other kitchen?” Colin asked.


“Humph…we have too many hands as it is. The pack is ashamed of the Lorraine debacle and wants to put their best foot forward. Your help will not facilitate that goal.”
