“I should have been up there, Alpha. I thought he was with Michelle and Giles, and they thought he was with me. It was a clusterfuck. I should have set up a schedule.” Philippe hung his head.


“No, that was my job. Go and do what I said. I want Enforcers out in front of his room immediately.” Marc began to pace.


Philippe pointed to two of the Enforcers waiting in the anteroom. “You two, go to the ICU and stand outside the door. Don’t let anyone in unless the charge nurse says they are okay.”


“Yes, Beta.” The two Enforcers immediately left the room.


Colin was so well-liked that the entire households of all three Alphas were waiting for news. Giving them something productive to do would break some of the tension in the room and let him fall apart in peace.


Marc’s hand was cramping, but he refused to let go of Colin. Marc would not leave Colin’s side.
