A minute after hanging up, Glen regretted his decision. The urge to get up and flee tugged at his legs. He sat cross-legged, willing himself to take responsibility for his actions. However, he had lied and said he just found Stephan like this. No one would know it was his fault. If he wasn’t there by the time the ambulance arrived the EMTs might just assume the guy who called had been too cowardly or inconsiderate to stick around and they would take it from there.

Glen’s fingers itched and twitched. If Stephan was alone when they found him, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was already dead. He could have choked on his tongue, had an aneurism, lost too much blood in his head, any number of things could have gone wrong. No one would suspect that it had been foul play. After all, when Aiden had been vulnerable, Stephan hadn’t shown him any mercy. There was no reason Glen should show him the same courtesy…
