It turned out that the snow was heavy and wet with a touch of sleety ice underneath. Trey and Landon decided Trey??s four-wheel drive Jeep Cherokee would be a better choice to bring Karen and the baby home, so they spent half an hour cleaning the snow off the SUV and removing enough snow to make getting in and out of the house easier. By the time they were done, Landon??s previously broken fingers ached so bad he was gritting his teeth.
