??Pull up the covers,?? said Landon. ??We could use some sleep.?? After Trey turned off the light, Landon rolled against him and placed a kiss on his lips.

The light that filtered through the crack in the curtains was dim and gray. Was it really cloudy or super early in the morning? Trey twisted enough to see the clock on the dresser. 9:50. He guessed it must be very overcast. Rolling onto his side, Trey bent an elbow and rested his head on his hand. He looked at Landon, dark hair spread on the pillow, jaw shadowed by beard stubble. Landon??s face was relaxed and Trey thought he looked innocent and vulnerable. Neither of them was innocent, the jobs they did ended that illusion long ago. But the vulnerable part? Yeah, that was at least a little true. Nobody carried a torch for someone for nearly a decade and a half without leaving themselves at least a little too open.
