Chapter 28

Brody gives the cat a push to move it off the bed. “Come on, kitty. Stop hitting on my guy.”

With a disinterested yawn, the cat stands and stretches, front paws first, then each leg separately, until finally jumping to the floor. Brody stands by the door, waiting for the cat to make its languid way out into the hall. The moment its tail flickers past him, Brody shuts the door. “Now, where were we?”

He turns to find Gavin stretched seductively along his bed, head propped up on one hand, a come hitherlook shining in those leonine eyes. “Come here, you,” Gavin purrs, patting the bed in front of him.

Brody doesn’t hesitate to cross the distance between them. “When I met you two days ago, I didn’t think I’d get you in my bed so damn fast.”

He stops at the edge of the mattress and smiles down at Gavin, who reaches up to tug at the button on Brody’s jeans. “Let me guess where your tats are,” he says, flicking open the button. “Am I close?”
