Chapter 26

I’m no longer needed here in Hiding, I decide. Between Mama and our three ranch hands, the ranch and business can function just fine without me. My days of hard work and establishing our company are long over. The business makes plenty of money. Our reputation of raising the best Appaloosas in Kansas precedes us. What I have accomplished with much help in the last ten years can now take care of itself. The five of us can live well by the business’ success. Money is in the bank from our outstanding profits. More money will be coming in throughout the future years. Wellton Appaloosas has a strong future ahead of it. Life will be good for all of us. I can now sit back and relax if I want to. I’ve created this comfort zone for all of us. I can do what I want now, move on, and feel free. Or just stay put. Whatever I want to do. It’s all up to me.
