Chapter 5

“Get a move on!” he barked.

The command didn’t register immediately, but when it did Julian walked across to where the man was standing, gesturing to a chair that had been placed beneath a spotlight, directly in front of the panel of men in suits. He glanced at the men in suits, again at the man next to him, and then sat down.

“Julian James? 41329?”

Julian swallowed. “Yes, sir.”

“Were you or were you not in the M Sector park yesterday?”

“Yes, I was, sir.”

“And to whom were you talking?”

Julian felt his cheeks flush. “No one, sir.”
