Playfully, I slap my forehead and groan. “Ugh, my mistake. I don’t know where my mind was when I answered that.”

“Well, in your defense, widowedisn’t one of the options,” Greg admits. “I guess you aren’t divorced or legally separated, and I can see why you wouldn’t want to check off single. These forms are so old. We should really update them sometime. They don’t even have a spot for a parent’s e-mail address, can you believe that?”

Waggling my eyebrows, I tell him, “I’ll give you mine if you promise to use it.”
