We chit-chatted with her briefly, and were informed that Chris had thrown up upon arriving at the theater, and that, since then, he had been relaxed and motivational back stage.

“That’s him, isn’t it?” Katie asked, slyly tugging on my elbow. My eyes had been scanning the sidewalk in every direction for Josh, but it was Katie, knowing me as well as she does, who spotted him. The height and the nose, I guess—two dead giveaways of my taste. He looked spectacular in the same pair of hip-riding jeans he had worn in Sydney and a dark blue, roll-necked sweater, which accentuated the length and grace of his neck and focused attention on his sensual, sumptuous mouth.
