No, I met a shifty-looking man with a long beard in the street and he packed for me. He told me that if I heard any ticking noises coming from the case, not to worry about it,I thought. “Yes, I packed the case myself.” I said aloud.

She asked a few more dumb questions, and took my suitcase. She did the same things for Mark and Sam. I’d told Mark not to pack a tube of lube; I didn’t mind us taking condoms, but I’d had visions of a burley customs officer x-raying our cases and finding some KY. Hopefully we’d be able to buy what we needed over there. Mark had laughed at my caution.

We had plenty of time to potter around the airport. Sam thought he saw someone famous from the telly, but I told him not to make a fuss, as they wouldn’t appreciate being accosted at five a.m.

Sam shrugged. “I don’t like the character he plays anyway.”
