“How would you two like to spend the weekend in Boston with us?” Charles said. “Can you spare the time?”


“Sure, I don’t see why not,” John said, speaking for both of them. “Is this a business trip for you?”


“Not exactly,” Charles said, “but we need to go to Boston, and we certainly need your help.”


“I’ll stock up on shower caps and garbage bags,” John said.


“That wasn’t the help I had in mind, but yes, we need that help as well,” Charles said. “What we want is your assistance in making a baby—actually, two babies.”


They looked dumbfounded at that, so Charles quickly explained what we had in mind.


“Wow, indeed,” John said. “That’s amazing. You guys are something else.”


Charles continued, “Boston is a great place to visit, and some friends of ours will give you a tour.”


“How will we get there?” John said.


“I’m glad you asked,” Charles said, and pushed a few buttons on the speakerphone.
