After supper, they had a conference call with George and Mike, who referred them to their good-old-boy concrete guy, Randy, saying that he might know a reasonable builder. As soon as they’d finished talking to George and Mike, they placed a call to Randy, and were rewarded with the names of two builders whom Randy considered to be both reasonable and reliable.
George had also given them telephone numbers of two local boys—young men, actually—who would probably be willing to clean up the lot. They called, and the boys—Joe and Donny by name—agreed to meet them at the cabin at noon.
They managed to track down and talk with both of the builders the next morning and were more than pleased with the prices quoted. Joe and Donny, as promised, arrived at the cabin at noon. They were shown the property and a price was agreed to for the necessary work, which they promised to begin the next day.
