“This is what needs to be done, guys,” I said. “Needless to say, it needs to be done as quickly as possible so we can get these houses rented.”
“By each job,” Mike said, “you’ll see a dollar amount, which represents what we think the job is worth. That amount is for labor only. We’ll arrange for the paint and materials to be charged to us at the same hardware store in Waynesville that we’ve used before.”
“We don’t care how you split the work,” I said. “All four of you can work on one house at the same time, or you can split up. It doesn’t matter as long as the jobs get done.”
“If you want to put your heads together when we’re not around,” Mike said, “that’s okay. Just give us a call in the morning or later this evening and let us know if the prices are okay. We just want things agreed to before we fly home tomorrow afternoon.”
