“We planned to put an upstairs den in that little bedroom next to ours, but we never talked about furniture for it.”


“Two desks, two office chairs, and a couple of plastic chair mats should do it.”


“How about a file cabinet and a couple of side chairs?” Chris said.


“Get one of those lateral file cabinets, if it’ll fit; or better yet, put a traditional file cabinet in the closet, if it’s deep enough. Something like that. As for side chairs, a couple of them should be enough.”


“Okay. Add a couple of desk lamps and it’s complete.”


“We’ll have one downstairs in the library and one in the bedroom. Won’t that be enough?”


“Yeah, and we’ve got that little TV for the breakfast room. I like to watch the news while I’m eating breakfast.”


A couple of days later, Chris was walking around the front yard of the new house with the twins.


“I think you can keep most of the shrubs in front of the house,” Zeb said.
