“Oh-my-lanta,” Tom said when he saw the organ. “That’s a gorgeous instrument. Unless I’m mistaken, it’s not American.”


“No, it’s not,” Father DeVaney said. “Believe it or not, that’s a genuine Father Willis organ from England.”


“You’re kidding. I didn’t know there were any Willis organs in this country.”


“A fairly wealthy couple from England settled here around 1900,” Father DeVaney said. “They purchased the organ from a church in England that was about to be demolished, and had it installed here. The organ dates back to 1860 or thereabouts.”
